Turn timer is set to 44 hours for the first turn, already revised down to 22 hours for the next turn. That should approximate a 24 hour real life period. If any adjustments are needed please post here. Don't forget to check your game settings, make sure you have the right civ, leader, techs, etc. on the first turn as well. Have fun everyone!

Trying to connect to the game now. After I chose my civ a textbox appeared that said something like "The save file you have selected is protected in order to ensure that your mod folder has not been changed". It showed for about a second and the game auto-closed. What to do?

Have you loaded the 2.0.8.3 mod prior to attempting connection to the PB server? I think this is probably the culprit.
Is the mod in the Programs\firaxis\BtS\mods folder, and not in the my documents\my games folder?

Yes, I loaded the right mod before attemting to connect. The mod is in Documents/My games/Beyond the sword/Mods. SP works just fine for me.

The mod needs to be in Programs\Firaxis\Beyond the Sword\Mods folder, and this is why. You need to copy the mod to that location, and then delete the mod in the my documents folder.

With a search I was not able to detect the Programs\Firaxis\Beyond the Sword\Mods folder. Where is it situated?

Do you have a steam version of civ 4? If so i think it might be in the steamapps folder. I will check when i get home if someone else does not pipe up sooner
