If he accepts open borders, I am tempted to offer him joint war with Singa.
In any case, tentative buildup and exploration. I need to get my troops home if Singa becomes a plan.
I must confess I'm a bit confused about whom you mean there.

I believe that should read "Oledavy just sent an offer to friendship, whilst the one with Singa has run out."

You are not currently in Colonization, right? I guess once D&P is in, we can do the civic switch to Colonization and push out three Settlers -- north mountain cattle, south mountain (probably on the rainforest tile) and the mercury dot. South mountain could immediately chop two forests and harvest a stone into an Acropolis to start fixing our culture situation. It will then grab the nice campus tile towards Ithake. North mountain will have the god of the open sky bonus from the get go, and I guess it will just whack out builders for the region, we need so many.

4 turns for colonization, yes, we are not.
We are -1 gold on units, +30 on builders, +2 envoys, +50 production on cavalry and +1 production on cities.
Our armies are coming down, I am tempted to offer Oledavy a joint war on Singaboy in 2 turns, should be quick enough at Germany at that time.
Full on development mode, granaries where needed, more builders, districts, etc..

Still in Oligarchy? That diplomatic slot is really killing, could have been generating GG points.

I agree, but I have to wait for 4 turns.

Read Sulla's report on PBEM1 which has kindled an interest in Civ 6. Just caught up on your thread and will be following along from here, dedlurking so I can comment on anything. For the record I do not yet own Civ 6 so my input probably won't be too valuable.
One thing that wasn't clear to me is your reasoning for suddenly switching from "Attack Oledavy" to "Attack Singa". Could you explain your reasoning for why Singa is a softer or better target. And also why another war is better than peaceful expansion at the moment (or when/where you were planning to attack Singa).

Well, I have a rather huge army sitting around, which is going to be obsolete quite soon. Horseman do not upgrade well.
Also whilst Oledavy has a rather nice defensive position towards me, Singaboy, well, does not.
I am not entirely sure if I want to go ahead and do this however, we will see in 2 turns.

Maybe I am just that aggressive.
Or mabye Singaboy is just asking for it, with his settlement once again right into my face.
