If we're not on a mirror, we're on something very close to one. Hopefully, it gets more random as it spins out further.
Interesting choices to come later...

This map is desperately trying to endeer itself to me...
...I approve.

Before my time actually. I remember starting to lurk in the teens, and then played my first with Luddite in pbem23.
Commodore, I'm not nearly hearing enough complaining about the map. Clearly I've screwed up

Commodore, I'm not nearly hearing enough complaining about the map. Clearly I've screwed up Clearly! Unfortunately, there's not a whole lot known right now to complain about or praise about or much else; it's a mirror, or at least mirrored caps, and just have a tiny little island here. Nature of the beast.
I can say I'm a bit torn about how to play this sucker. The limiting factor is going to be raw commerce, very very soon; I've got tons of food (dat 3deer/corn) and thus good hammers (charismatic don't care about yo happiness), but the limitation here is going to be the utter lack of riverside cottage land. I think we're going to be pushing for the fur and gems as soon as is possible, more just because those tiles pay go than anything else. Colossus is going to be big for everyone so I'm not sure I can grab it; better to hit an early Stonehenge and just grit teeth to cottage crap. Sailing/Priesthood/Pottery, REX the everloving hell out of the planet is the plan. Org Zigs will see us crashing at approximately never.
My inner OCD smiles at the timing here; one turn to size three (using hooked fish), then it's a quick two turns to size four; I'm waiting on the settler until BW comes in so I can revolt.

City number two down, copper found, people enslaved. Pretty decent turn, albeit very late.

Bugger. Good job, Yuri, shot it out from under me (would have finished this turn). Still, this financed Buddhism so I won't cry too loudly.
That's a less-than-tiny island to the west over there. Gotta catch 'em all (with Org Zigs).
