Someone posted this on FB and it directs you to a site that says ...

"Only 1% Of The Population Can Figure This Out"

It provides four answers ... 9, 6, 3 and 1.

I then proceeded to get into a FB yelling match about the site's CORRECT answer (3) and what I thought the answer was (9).

Please tell me I am right ... or wrong ... and provide reasoning.

I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It depends how you read the equation.

I read it as A x B / C x D.  The site wants you to read it as A x B / C / D.

Is what is shown different from 9 x srt(3) / (3 x srt(3)) ... or is it the same.

If the graphic was ...

3 x srt (3)

... then 3 is the answer ... no questions from me.

3 root 3 is just one number, as is 9 root 3, so it's actually read A/B right?

Ahhh ... that sounds acceptable. Why would I think that 3 srt(3) was two numbers? I was reading it as xy. Funny ... would I read 95 /15 as 9 x 5 / 1 x 5?

Because that number is equal to 3 * srt(3), it's just that srt(3) is irrational so we leave it as-is.
