Yeah, I can not pass you the defeated save on, which is strange, but as you can imagine I took your capital.

I agree that you were too aggressive in your defense and went for the city walls way too late.
Defending more east would have have the benefit of the terrain and as I stated in my thread, as soon as I got closer the barbs were an issue for me, not for you.

Yeah, tactically, if you build a city wall, the hill east of your capital becomes a deathtrap, if you got archers behind your capital.
Do not feel too bad though, there were 4 more horses incoming and soon enough a GG.

I know that you two have already moved on to the next game, but I wanted to wish TheArchduke congratulations on the victory - and for making my comments in the lurker thread look good! It was very entertaining to see another Civ6 duel, since the first one between scooter and Brick seems to have died out. Is there any chance we can get a little bit more reporting for the next game? Thanks again.

Thanks, I will try to do so. I am not sure if I can manage the walls of text that I am seeing in PBEM #2 for instance by Oledavy (excellent reporting).
I can do a screenie per turn and my general thoughts if that suffices.
