Well I did research edu 1st just to grab the GM if yuris makes a move for it and he has 1100 gold saved up. I am top in power since it looks like ipecac killed 150k of comm's power!

Target reassessment
Comm: Definitely on the backfoot techwise, and I actually would keep the closest holdings. However would like need 25+ frigates to match his naval power.
Yuris: Teching but low power. the bad part is that his dotmap is bad so I would have to raze like 4/5 of the cities closest to me
AI: Tempting. He lost a city to yuris and understandably ignores his border with me. But I would have to raze his closest city.

Well Yuris is actually now heading for the communism GSpy as I feared to start his 2nd GA. Looks like I will be heading there soon obsoleting my monasteries, which is sad. Adopted Vassalage and OR since I plan on building multipliers in my big cities for the econ boost. I need to get the GSpy and the physics scientist to start my 5th GA. Was hoping to save gold after the 3rd GA ended and fire the 4th GA when i can run 100% science for 9 turns. However, looks like I will chain the 4th and 5th GAs before my 3rd ends.

Before getting Liberalism and Sci meth, maybe I should get MT first so I can have some unit varieties since a good number of Comm's grens already have pinch?! Up to 250K in power compared to Comm. Founded city 25 this turn and city 26 soon to catchup in CY.

Could a kind lurker explain how the kremlin interacts with slavery? Is it just a straight 33% hammer multiplier?

So I been already thinking of the endgame, and it is clear to me that I need to end at slavery after my GAs for the insane Kremlin powered whips. The only other option is Emancipation to cripple the other 3 players, who I will never be friends with. However, it might take a very long time to have the Emancipation unhappiness actually matter due to calendar resources that they can trade each other with, and the lack of cottagable tiles. No to caste because of the latter reason as well. Now I can get more land, but the likely targets will mostly be island cities. Since a good number of cities will only be working coast, the only realistic way of getting production will be whips, supplemented with US cash rush. Now even though I can deviate into MT, I will actually beeline communism ASAP because I have to get the Kremlin. Yuris has an IND leader so he could snipe it if I am lackluster at it.

The other question is to adopt state property or free market at the endgame, and this is much harder to answer.

Also, I'm not sure what you mean by "straight hammer multiplier" but Kremlin's bonus is not additive with other multipliers; it's multiplicative! I believe the way it works is that it reduces the "cost" of each hammer by 1/3, so 2 gold will buy you as many hammers as 3 gold used to in Universal Suffrage, and 2 pop will give you as many (base!) hammers as 3 pop used to in Slavery. So a single whip gives you as many hammers as 1.5 whips would have - 45 on Normal speed, 30 on Quick - which then go through all your ("other") hammer multipliers just like any other whip.

I thought it increased hammers by 33% like a forge and you are saying that Kremlin bonus is multiplicative? That is new. We are playing on Quick so base hammers for 1 whip is 20H. With forge assuming OR doesnt come into play, it would be 20H(1.25+0.5) = 35H, but you are saying that it is 20H(1.5)(1.25) = 37H. Not a big deal since the difference is 2H but with factory it is 20H(1.25+0.25+0.5) = 40H vs. 20H(1.5)(1.5) = 45H. With power, 20H(1.25+0.5+0.5) = 45H vs. 20H(1.75)(1.5) = 52H. That means that most of my little cities can 2 whip major projects eventually...
