I'll accept the concession, GG Rome is a powerhouse of a civ in the early game! This was my first game as Rome since the Rome vs Barbarians Epic, and I'm very surprised that the lead snowballed so quickly. Given a larger map and a longer game, the production edge of Germany may have had time catch up later in the game.

Still thinking Small sized Continents map with separate starting landmasses for another duel? Based on the new one with Mr. Cairo we're definitely going to need a map maker. I'm also not so certain that maxing out the city states is the way to go. With the max of 14 giving us 7 each wouldn't necessarily be bad since we'd have equal opportunity (and could play to the strengths of our local city states). Having all those early boosts to science/culture/gold/production is just an entirely different feel from a standard game and I'm not sure that's what we want. Also I think it diminishes the importance of the civ selection on the early game. I'm open to your thoughts though.

I would also suggest that we might consider 1-2 ban picks by each of us.

Didn't really have a 2nd ban I wanted, I'd be fine playing against anything other than England in this setup.
