I'd like to have a back-up player, but I cant promise to report detaily. If it is ok for you to enter game sometimes to keep discussion I will be happy to share my thoughts with you.

OT4E, I can be a back-up player for sure and there is no need for any regular wrute-ups. I'd be delighted to have a bit of discussion and I can always log in if I want to check on the current game state.

Hey, that other thread says "players get out". So I did.
(yes, errant clicking)

How is it going with the map? What is the ETA of screenshots/starting combos?

Long story short, I will not be able to make the map. Orders from the missus and a few changes in time prioritization due to unforeseen circumstances in RL. Sorry guys.

Shame, but understandable. I hope everything works out.

Okay, well, that sort of thing happens -- thanks for letting us know!

So who do we have make the map now?

Lets ask Mardoc! Mardoc, Mardoc, please!

Just roll a Totestra with Full of Resources checked and gogogo.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.

I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.

A suggestion, in the meantime - i.e. before the next mapmaker gets started: Run a test game to make sure everyone can connect to the game and sort out any major natneg issues. 2 out of the original 9 players in PB37 suffered from serious technical issues early on (and both ultimately needed replacements) and it would be nice to know about and iron out any such problems before the game begins - and preferably before the map is finalized, in case a player turns out to be unable to participate for purely technical reasons. A test game can be on any old map with random civs and leaders, picked on a first-come first-served basis since it'll only be played out long enough to confirm everything's working and most players can connect at the same time as most other players anyway....
