RBP2 Lurker Discussion Thread - No Players!

Maybe Spullla will publicly announce their knowledge in the form of Riflemen, Galleons and Frigates setting sail for Incan shores (eventually).

At this point can anyone think of a realistic scenario where Spullla doesn't run away with the game? The only one I can think of involves a grand coalition of everyone vs. Spullla and I don't see that happening anytime soon.

I find myself regretting my earlier condemnation of the COW... things might end more interestingly had they been just a little more effective in taking them down a notch.

I don't know...
If Spullla were taken down a notch during the dogpile, I think Nakor/DMOC would have run away with the game instead, unless the initial alliance of Jowy/Kathlete/Whosit also dogpile them.
But anyway we'll never know now.

The best chance of avoiding a runaway victory by Spulla has passed.

They will win this at a canter now. Jowy is gone, Dantski's whole civ is backward, Nakor and Kathlete's main army are outdated and only have updated defensive troops, Whosit's empire is crumbling all around him and Slaze has no major offensive army and they would be on strike long before he reached Indian lands. Korea will not fight them.

Its game over in all senses of the word.

I'm obviously a homer, but I see nothing wrong in anything they are doing or plan to do.

I don't think there's anything wrong with that, especially since diplomacy is a very important part of these games.
In real life diplomacy you can't expect your enemy to agree when you tell them
"Surely, you must not ready your military in reaction to the letter I accidentally sent to you about our intentions to threaten your sovereignty, as that is cheating!" lol

I agree, they used freely available information - nothing wrong with that.

Dear plako and Broker of Korea, Dantski of Romali, and slaze of IKZ,

Hey, you may have seen that Kathlete accidentally posted in the email thread today. Speaker saw the message before it was deleted, and we are forwarding it to all of you:

No way at all IMHO. I think even if they all went AW on India for the rest of the game India can probably win.

CIV5 comes out... that's about the only thing I can think of given the level of weed some of the players have been smoking.
