[SPOILERS] Charriu and Zalson are fighting the honorable post count war!

(July 6th, 2018, 11:54)Zalson Wrote: If RFS takes the spot, I think we found on the plains hill 1S of the rice. City in the east and the city over water we want to found earlier later than later. We also need to poke around to the ivory -- maybe there's some more food over there?

I've also had that spot in sight after some thinking.

(July 6th, 2018, 11:54)Zalson Wrote: I think our scout needs to head back toward the Rice to uncover that area.

That's just what I wanted to do with the scout. He will move back to my east in a crescent shape.

(July 6th, 2018, 11:54)Zalson Wrote: I don't think we should keep the capital at just 3 population without a very good reason. It's better for us to grow to size 4 and whip it down than to avoid growing to size 3.

Oh you missunderstood me. That's what I wanted to do with the capitol, while keeping sure that I always have 3 pop there.

(July 6th, 2018, 11:54)Zalson Wrote: I think we finish the barracks between T39 and 41 in the capital while we're waiting for pottery, mostly because we can. That allows us to grow to size 4, setting up a 2 pop whip at the capital. Then we go: settler (T42, revolt to slavery) whip settler T46 and overflow into the granary, which completes T48, while regrowing.

For the second city, I think we go: barracks (chop it out), then workboat, then swap to granary (chop into it) and then whip that into the workboat. The timing allows to have a workboat in position for the crabs when borders pop.

Around T44 we run into a bit of a tile drought: we have a size 4 capital working all improved tiles but second city is size 3 with all tiles chopped. So we should think about perhaps mining and roading the spices? It really depends on where copper is... if it's there at all. I'll share my spreadsheet with you.

Agreed, but I think think the sugar has to be traded between both cities from time to time. I intended to farm the river grasland 1NE as I will need it anyway later to irrigate the corn. Mining the spice does not sound that bad actually. i will think about that.

I briefly entertained suggesting we take a dip into his lands to see what he has but we can be nice. It's a greenies pitboss after all and I don't know how he or haphazard1 would take to aggression.

Glad to see we're on the same page for tile yields and all that. I don't know if farming that grassland is the right call; probably better to have that be a cottage? Maybe we try to add a mine into one of those grassland hills instead of creating a road connection? Really struggling with what to do. maybe we just eat the turns working a forest at the capital.

My first worker Chocobo came out and went to the pig just as planned. Exdeath started a warrior. Meanwhile my scout is moving back towards the rice.

It seems that Commodore planted a big desert to seperate our two territories. I noticed more flat land 1NE and 1NW of the sign. 1NW also contains a river.

I found Gold, but there's just not enough food and good terrain around it to make an awesome commerce city. We should be safe in front of the lion.

I got quite an interesting offer from RFS. Unfortunately I had to decline his kind offer; there's just not enough in it for me. lol

Scott defeated the mighty lion, but was hit pretty hard. I had to stop exploring and heal which unfortunately takes 8 turns till full heal. Right now he's at a good spot to heal, where he can see any incoming attackers.

One of our expansive opponents has improved their first food resource. Curse them!

Maybe bring the scout back toward our territory to heal? So that RFS-81 can eat the barbs?

I thought about that, but it's 5 turns till home. There shouldn't spawn any barbs as of now except for animals, which are no problem for him. In addition I definitely want to keep my scout and now I have a good position to ensure his survival.

I spare you an image with no new information. Scott is still healing and no animals turned up near him. The pasture on the pig finished, which brought to 2nd place in crops for the moment. Magic has already grown to size 2 as indicated by his score increase and the fact that there is only on city with size 2 in the TOP 5 right now. He's now running 11 food.
