Turn 128 (325 AD) - Part 1
No wonders were built this turn.
The party in Charriu's territory travels north.
Charriu 3-pop-whipped something in his last bastion of defiance. Whatever could that possibly be?
JR4 has a scouting chariot now seeing that Braavos is only defended by a single archer. One of the re-reinforcing swords moves to shadow it.

One of the reasons my score is low is just that I'm whipping rather hard. That's part of the prerogative of being Charismatic, but I should dial that down. I already have what I think is a high forge/library count (10 of each).
I need to promote growing new pop if only for the Golden Age that I should be planning more for. When exactly that happens depends on whether I get the Parthenon. I've stopped running specialists in anticipation of that.
I don't imagine I'll be beat to the Parthenon; the likely reaction of everyone else is "that was quick". I think I'm much more likely to lose the still-unclaimed Statue of Zeus that I have due in 2.

Turn 128 (350 AD) - Part 2
I raise science to finish Construction next turn. I run a little extra commerce and one merchant just to make sure I don't get foiled by inflation again.
Another settler is on the move; I'm finally filling in the land between my first four cities soon! I still have 4 backline sites to go after this one, too.
I can still feel the financial hit with each new city planted -- I'm only sort-of at the conqueror's plateau. Only the larger cities have hit the cap on number of cities maintenance.
A couple of spears start moving west, because that's where I'm concerned the horse units may come pouring over. Eh. Maybe I'll move them back -- the western cities are far more mature than my eastern ones, and the west is where the Statue of Zeus will hopefully be.
Statue of Zeus due in 2, Parthenon due in 4.
Even after all the forest chopping I'm doing, I'll still have a lot I can chop. ? Eh, I haven't really had Mathematics for that long, have I? I probably also need to actually build some more workers soon -- I don't really have enough to build all the workshops I want, or Machinery improvements once I get around to that. I was relying on captured workers from Charriu for a while, but that source has dried up.

Turn 129 (350 AD) - Part 1
A wonder was built in a distant land!
It's the Great Library, which was built by ... . Huh, no fewer than three rivals have Literature now. That must have been quite the race.
Well, I still want Literature soon-ish so I can get going on the Epics. I'll have at least a die roll for the Statue of Zeus, and that doesn't really pay off without the Heroic Epic.
Speaking of , he has some completely friendly horse archers sitting in his border city now.
Yeah, I'm going to push some more spears west, and get going on some catapults soon.
What's up with Charriu's last stand?
It looks like he attacked out of his last bastion with all that he could. I'm not sure that was the best move (that's swords and axes against Aggressive Protective cho-ko-nus on a hill?), but Charriu probably wanted to do more than just sit idle.
I have that spare work boat wandering around wetbandit's border lakes.
I'm not sure what he's up to.
I find longbows belonging to a couple of our rivals ... JR4 ...
... and wetbandit.
Yeah, that's a single longbow near the border with yuris125. wetbandit has little to fear from yuris125, but I thought he'd be building up an attack stack at this point.
superdeath also shows up with something interesting -- gold! The resource!
I didn't think that was even available before Astronomy, which no one can possibly have at the moment (no one has Compass still).

Turn 129 (350 AD) - Part 2
The Statue of Zeus is due next turn, fed with two forest chops.
In about 4 more turns, Casterly Rock will even be at a decent size!
King's Landing now has a Jewish monastery, and will put out the next Jewish missionary.
I got in another forge whip this turn. That's the one for Highgarden, which is the last mature city missing one. I may have overestimated how long I'll be at peace here. I hope not! Program grow pop will now proceed in all my mature cities for quite some time. (I'll still be whipping my newer cities some.)

Turn 129 (350 AD) - Part 3
Researchable technologies known by rivals: - Calendar: 4 (, JR4, wetbandit, yuris125)
- Code of Laws: 3 (superdeath, wetbandit, ?)
- Compass: 0
- Drama: 0
- Horseback Riding: 4 ( JR4, ?, ?)
- Literature: 3 (, ?, ?)
- Machinery: 2 (JR4, wetbandit)
- Monarchy: 4 (JR4, wetbandit, yuris125, ?)
- Theology: 0
I'm not sure what I'll research next. I set research to Horseback Riding for 's benefit. ( edit: Actually, I changed that back to Code of Laws.)

Turn 130 (375 AD) - Part 1
Outside my normal play window.
I finally built a wonder!
Also, I really want to stop giving JR4 a free ride now in trade. So I cancel Open Borders and offer this (which is what I logged in for):
I'm still not sure how much to value these.

Turn 130 (375 AD) - Part 2
I lost the screenshot, but JR4 made a counter offer of Open Borders where he offers Spices. Okay, I can accept that -- it'll help but I won't be actually dependent on the resource.
I check out wetbandit's eastern border military.
That's not exactly a stack ready to go invade yuris125. I can look around a bit more, but I thought he'd be massing troops here.
Charriu did survive this turn. There's quite the crowd there all set to watch his elimination.
Yeah, that's a lot of popcorn being eaten there.
I'm not sure why JR4 moved his attack stack to the flat grass tile. Charriu will probably survive the next turn as well, since he'll have 8 defenders against a maximum of 9 attackers. He probably won't have time to whip the city all the way down to size 1, however.
hasn't yet played his turn. He's probably acquiring second half of the turn split over yuris125. At least yuris125 won't be the first player eliminated.

Turn 130 (375 AD) - Part 3
I start on another colosseum. Those aren't really for the happy cap so much as a cheap way to get +1 XP on all land units for the foreseeable future.
I chop one forest into the Parthenon, and will chop three more next turn to top it off.
is running a work boat by my southern backlines. I moved a settler this turn to finally put a city there, which he'll see.
I should probably build more Wealth. I still need to grow vertically.
Once the Parthenon is built, the plan is to have Winterfell run an engineer and a priest. If I get a Great Engineer or Prophet (~50% chance), I can do cool things with it and still get another Great Person without too much delay.
It's already time for demographics and graphs again? (Turn is multiple of 5.) Click spoiler to view.
My approval rating and life expectancy are way too high.

Turn 131 (400 AD) - Part 1
No wonders were built this turn.
JR4 didn't attack this turn, just bombarding with his lone trebuchet, so Charriu will live another turn.
wetbandit didn't stick around for the party, but WilliamLP still is.
I wonder when the will fall.
wetbandit is going nuts with the Golden Ages.
That's two before anyone else has fired one. He's getting ahead in score and tech (he already has Banking!) but he doesn't have many cities, wonders, or units. I'm assuming he's not going all the way to three quite so quickly.
There's no sign either wetbandit or superdeath is going to attack yuris125 any time soon.
I'll return my wandering spears east (my western cities are far better military factories) and I may pull the swords back out again. Yeah, I can't make up my mind, can I?
