[SPOILERS] Charriu and Zalson are fighting the honorable post count war!

My previous post was crossposted with your turn report. What are your current total troops surrounding Schilda? What could you have total for an attack on T93? And his total garrison?

[more brainstorming] Another option you have is to just keep advancing your troops towards his capital, pillaging tiles along the way with your chariots. Your stack with combined arms should strong enough until he gets Catapults. You probably wouldn't be able to take his capital, but you'd cause some whipping and havoc through pillaging, and the pillaging might pay for the unit support. The danger though is can Couerva assemble a sufficient force to kill your stack?

Your primary bargaining chip/strength right now is that Couerva is in a winning position and you have nothing to lose (except to lose quicker).

If you have 2, burn that city to the ground. He cannot add another defender because it's size 3.

Burning a size 3 city with worthwhile on the hammer exchange. You're showing him you mean business.

Ask for Schlida. he can't give it to you but he can empty it for you to take.

Am I really allowed to ask for a city?

I only have 1 chariot on that side of the city.

Looks like you guys went with no city trading.

This is my army around Schilda:
  • 2 axeman
  • 6 swordsman
  • 2 archer
  • 4 chariots
  • 1 spearman
As mentioned by T93 I can add another axeman, swordsman and chariot to the stack

Schilda is still at size 1 and his army is the same as last time:
  • 2 axeman
  • 5 archer
  • 1 spearman

Thanks, for a moment I thought I had missunderstood the concept of "no city trading".

We're not expecting the city to be gifted (retaining all buildings and existing at size 1). We're planning on burning the city and telling him that if he wants peace, that city is the price for peace.

Can we ask for it to ensure we communicate our intent? That was my intent.

Alternatively, we could ask for their gold as a gift and their copper as a gift.

Looks like y'all agreed to not do this.  It's a game-by-game basis where exactly the line is drawn.

If you fortify your existing stacks in place you can probably keep him from getting any additional reinforcements in. He might (probably?) can build another archer, this would give you 7 swords + 3 axes vs. his 6 archers + 2 axe. 10 vs. 8, leaving you with 4 chariots + 2 archers + 1 spear against his 1 spear + cleanup. Is there any way his spear will come up as top defender vs. your axes/swords? Probably never vs. axes, but he does have the Shock promo so might defend top vs one of your swords. Do your axes target his axes or his archers? Could you get this sequence: (1) your axes scratch his axes >> (2) your swords scratch his archers, then clean up his axes, then target his spear?

You're attacking into a tough position though with hill + full fortify + 20% culture for +70% defense. Even with 2x hitters you may not be able to crack that, and it doesn't even look like you'll have 2x advantage.

Whomp-wowwwww. Awesome.

Ok, maybe we ask for all metals in exchange for peace?
