Questions: will these alterations, to work on the Shown/Rank server, be capable of working with the ongoing games?
For future versions of the RtR mod, will it require taking on of these adjusted mod versions and making the changes we want, and would there be any further input needed from Shown or Ramk?
Current games (All): RtR: PB80 Civ 6: PBEM23
Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6: PBEM22 Games ded lurked: PB18

Yes, if you take a save without an admin password, you could change the mod files and even the mod name of an running PB game. (It's getting more difficult, if some save game related things are changed, but that is not the case, here.)
If one of your admins logins into a PB and removes the password over the 'game details' menu, everything is prepared for migration.

Yes, your future changes should base on the newer version 4.x (I've increased the top level version number to 4 to avoid conflicts with your version numbering.)
But I assume there is no further input needed by me. You could simply forge a new version on top of the 4.0-version.
It is also possible to go back to an older RtR version without the 'PB Mod code', if required.

I've taken saves and got a copy of the passwords - if Caledorn, Brick or Xenu aren't around to organise this I can, but I'd rather one of them did it as they have a clue what they're doing...

Thanks OH, I was going to log in last night but celebration got in the way. We have the saves all backed up off the server but grabbing the password list was a good idea
Since you have them you can zip the files up and PM them to RamK in an attachment, that's probably the easiest way. Thank you.

Status Update: Old Harry gave me the saves and I've prepared the required update of the mod. Unfortunately, the saves do not load with a new compiled DLL, based on

and now I've try to figure out why...
On the other hand, if I copy your current DLL into the new mod version, the game is loadable, thus the problem should be related to the DLL and not XML/Python....
If somebody know why, please let me know.

@Krill: Could you please check if you still had access to the DLL code, used in RtR 2.0.8.3 ( http://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/showt...#pid620006 )?
The commit history ( https://github.com/plako/Civ4RealmsBeyon...its/master ) indicates that you used not the version of the latest commit, but an earlier one.

Um. I never did any of the DLL work. I think the commits you need are up to and including the last commit of 2014, and none after. Is that what you mean?

Ah, I've probably found the root of the problem, Krill
You picked the DLL at some state, but the git source code was updated later and you had never migrated to the latest version.
I now found a commit ( https://github.com/novice-rb/Civ4RealmsB...825f226001 )
where I could load the save of PB40 (2.0.8.3).
