I think this game has a ton of potential for RB multiplayer, and I will very likely be interested in participating if we get some games going. Built-in asynchronous cross-platform MP on top of the Advance Wars formula is amazing.

Sounds good (especially since I need to do some MP for my review).

Im hoping its more advanced wars then fire emblem tho.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

It definitely is. There are a few differences, but I think this game almost entirely exists because Intelligent Systems abandoned Advance Wars.

Yeah--pretty much all the units are direct analogs to AW units with some differences (only the Amphibious unit is entirely new, and the Harpoon Ship doesn't neatly fit into a category). Critical hits and the new way of healing are significant differences though, as well as the general compression of the unit tree.

I just want to emphasize this. This game has Built-in asynchronous cross-platform MP
It's a new tactical war game, that's accessible in multiple ways, and should scratch the itch of gameplay that a lot of us are even here for in the first place.
Oh and it's only $20. And comes out tomorrow.
It's going to be great and I'd love to help get some games/structure going for it.

Color me intrigued. I have good memories of the RB games on Advance Wars by Web; if something like that were to happen again I'd love to participate.

I mean, this is AWBW with a much better interface and on Steam/Consoles. So I'll count you in.

Alright, let's do an official RB game of this. I will probably do a basic spoiler thread. My inclination is to do a 4 player FFA to start just to have a simple and easy game to get accustomed to it, and if we want to expand into more competitive games, we can. I've talked to Brick, and he's in, and I think Cheater Hater is indicating interest above, so I'll tentatively slot him into the 3rd spot pending confirmation.
Signups:
1) scooter
2) Brick
3) Cheater Hater
4) <open>
Settings: 4 player FFA, map TBD, pick whatever leader. Start date: sometime after tomorrow (release)
