I wonder who's getting Mehmed, my old flame. Seems a great early pick with the 5-point system.

Mehmed just feels right IMO, but on Emperor I think some of these players are forgetting they will hit the horizontal expansion limit a bit too fast. Fin, Org, and possibly Chm seem wise.
Ragnar of Zulu seems interesting as well.

Mehmed is strong pick here indeed. ORG feels really safe and good pick in this format, hiw many land tiles per player?

This will likely be a Pangaea, standard size, medium sea level map. A bit of space, but people will be close. I'll be rolling tomorrow after I get home.
Still need to decide how I'm balancing the starts given I'll not be moving settlers. Looks like I'll be spending a bit of time playing around with Full of Resources to tighten up the map generation.

Commodore picks De Gaulle, Henge into Mids and let everyone else crash into the horizontal growth limit as he saunters into wide spaced cities with free happy and border pops?

Spent an hour looking at maps, and what the players have asked for.
I think that a Big and Small map, set to massive continents and on a small map size, that is edited to standard in the WBS, is actually closest to their request. Looks more natural, islands are fairer compared to Pangaea, and the land area is actually similar to a standard size Pangaea.

Eh, tread carefully. When people open up the settings on their first turn and see B&S they will start asking questions. May want to ask if they're ok with a pangea by definition rather than the actual mapscript itself.
The settings specifically says pangea mapscript, and people will have picked accordingly.

How can a base BTS game not include Pacal?
