When you played the aim out, on t9 did you build a worker? Because if you grew the capital on T31 the granary would not save the full amount of food. The food box should be 24/24.

Another thought: we can get that 1T regrowth from 4->5 by having the worker that chopped at 1SE of the capital put a farm there right afterwards. The farm completes on T43, which is the turn we'd grow back to size 5. IMHO, a farm there is a good idea anyways, since we'll want to loan the wheat to the second city and yet we'll want to whip the capital as much as we can since we already have a granary installed.

yes i did do that! I didn't update the spreadsheet based on this new micro, btw. At any rate, I manipulated it so that the food box was *not* full at 24/24 when the granary was complete. Rather, I let the 2nd worker complete naturally on the turn that Pottery was due (T28, IIRC?), and let that overflow + the chop go into a granary that next turn. I then whipped the granary on T30, such that the food box was at 23/24 on the turn 31. T32, my food box was at 13/26, gaining 9fpt.

How did you whip the granary on T30? The chop isn't complete until T30 and the granary is not at 30 hammers until T31?

Regardless of the micro to get the granary in place for the capital, I figure we should aim to do two things with the workers: ensure there is a road down for the settler so we get trade route commerce on T41, and have the workers in place to complete the cow pasture on T42. If we do that, then city 2 only needs to use the wheat for a single turn, then it works the cow for 6 turns to grow to size 2 and gets the granary to 26/60. Add in the single chop, and it can work the wheat and cow to complete the granary eot50 with the food box at 15/24. Then we can whip it at size 3 or 4 for another worker.
I have no idea where the third city should go. Copper will probably not help with that decision, but worker micro can't really be locked down that soon anyway.

Since we're fin, I'm OK leaving the road unhooked for a few turns, if convenient, but yeah, copper's gonna wreck whatever microplan we come up with anyways.
