I need to head out for the afternoon. I won't be back for at least 4 and probably more like 6 or 8 hours. If someone else can play Adler's turn, that's fine - if not, I'll need a pause while I try to work out what is wrong. I suspect it's an install issue.

Are you sure the mod is in the right location? And that the mod is right? Because what you are describing is what happens when the mod folder is named correctly but the contents are wrong.
Do you have another copy of the mod folder hidden somewhere else?

Looks like what happened is that I:
1) Copied the zip file into the mods directory 2) Extracted it's contents. 3) That gave me RtR_4.1.1.6\Rtr_4.1.1.6, which isn't correct and crashes when i load 4) I copied the data under the second Rtr_4.1.1.6 up to the top level one, which is what I did for the bug mod. That seems to be a problem. To fix it, I deleted the zip and the data in mod\RtR_4.1.1.6 and then copied the data from another copy of the zip into that directory. Then I was able to connect and play the turn.

I think I accidentally clicked on DS thread on my phone. I don't know when I did that in the last hour, but I didn't see or read anything until I unlocked my phone and saw the thread title and immediately backed out.
I'm going to need a sub to play turns for PB46 and PB47 from around 1000 GMT Monday 25/11/19 until 1800 GMT Thursday 28/11/19 (I'll be back Friday and can play a turn then).
I'm going to Cumbria, but unfortunately I've not been able to fix my 12 year old laptop (thinks its a knackered graphics card). I will always be in contact and can leave precise instructions so a spoiled lurker could play the turns, and can also give new instructions dependent on unforeseen circumstances. Would a lurker please be willing to help me out here? Sorry, I'm away for Thanksgiving at no-internet town and can't help out this time. |
