The hobbit features a band of DWARVES, the film was made in New Zealand from which the word KIWI is a national nickname. The author is considered a GENIUS, akin to SHAKESPEARE, and the books are produced on a PRESS.

Does anyone know where Tolkein was when he wrote hte book? Was he in India or Washington?

DWARF looks obvious. I do agree that KIWI is very strong too as LOTR was filmed in New Zealand.

Then.. it gets a lot harder.

I quite like DANCE for our third guess as the hobbits are well-known for their drinking (and dancing) habits.

Honestly, none of the other words really appeal to me. It could be GENIUS if pjabrony is thinking of Tolkien as a brilliant author. In the Hobbit (the movie) I think there is a scene where the hobbits raft down a STREAM so that word is probably my fourth guess.

There isn`t really any connection to UNICORN in the Hobbit or LOTR as far as I`m aware. It does fit the theme of Tolkien`s books, though.

We could play it safe by passing but I feel like trying at least one more guess first. STREAM does indeed have a nice double meaning (you can stream the movie).

My preference is still DANCE and STREAM in that order.

In the Hobbit, the party travels by the Forest River - in and on barrels - to Lake Esgaroth (I ... uh ... may know the books quite well).

There are a few occasions where hobbits DANCE, including one that actually matters to the plot of LotR (the inn at Bree); I could be talked into that. For comparison, GENIUS doesn't click for me, fond as I am of Tolkien.

I guess that makes me STREAM, DANCE in that order, just to be awkward.

Ah, right. It`s been a while since I watched the movies. I`m happy with STREAM first. Both words (STREAM and DANCE) might very well be blue.

I'd rather stick with STREAM (which occurs in the Hobbit) than dance (which is LotR), but TBH I'm not sold on any of them.

I actually forgot there was a movie called the hobbit, I was only thinking of the original trilogy. Since I've never seen it I probably won't be able to add too much. I'm not a fan of GENIUS though, the clue isn't Tolkein.

What I do know is that in general we shouldn't shy away from guessing. And even though none of us are that confident, it looks like we all favor STREAM -> DANCE.
