@Kylearan - If my internet is indeed restored I should be able to fall back into my usual playing spot, instead of waiting until I make it into work in the morning.

My apologies to all of the players for holding up the save overnight.

I was trying to load civ this morning, and it wouldn't go. I couldn't play last night, and I couldn't play last morning because Strike still had the save. I got back home about a hour ago, and trying to load the save.

If I have time tomorrow morning (East Coast), I can play the Vet's save if it's to me by then. There's a decent chance that I won't have Civ access until Sunday evening if the turn isn't back to me tomorrow morning.

I've been away yesterday without internet access, and completely forgot to post a note about this here - my apologies. I've played my turn now. (To be honest, I forgot because our father's day BBQ on Thursday lasted way longer than anticipated and lots of beer makes remembering things a lot harder. tongue)

Just a general question: How many saves would you guys recommend I keep? I kinda want to start deleting some of the old ones since they are starting to take up space (mostly visual space, but I'm sure that they will start adding up into a chunk of hard drive space eventually).

And I am talking about both my own saves and the "pass along" saves.

Hm. I'd definitely keep the 4000BC saves, and probably the last 5t, at a minimum? I wouldn't delete EVERY save, keeping one every few turns, as well.

It depends on how often you want to go back and double-check something (like, say, post-Alphabet, when someone researched a tech that you just noticed). Even if we play a full 340 turns, it'll only be a few MB.

I don't think saves are big enough to delete, but I for one won't be opening old saves. It seems too exploit-ish to me (no pun intended).
