Been ages since I played HOMM3 -- too little gaming time for all the interesting games out there. It is a favorite. I should try some of the mods....

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Necro is a bit slow in the start even if they will dominate when you have your skeletons. Going up to 200% makes the early game more difficult but once you have gotten rolling it is not much harder than the lower difficulties. Therefore, all the towns that are strong in the first and second week becomes better relatively. Stronghold, Fortress are especially noticeable as they have great heroes, require few resources an have fast access to Rocs and Wyverns. Castle and Rampart have great early units and but require richer maps to get to their high levels in time.

Barely won a siege that i thought was going to be EZ ( still learning how good certain units are in terms of attack/defense ) And had no money/army left for when another AI decided to come running through my lands so i gave up on that one. Going to be starting another one after Civ tonight.

The real rule for HoMM3 is that if you have vampire lords, you still have an army.
Do you hero chain at all? 1.4.3 and having only 2 heroes makes things a little tough. So low that i didnt get Vamp lords till i think 3rd week? Others had angels, and i was running with VLords as my only decent units. Would have bought more heroes but i was starved for gold.
