I'm getting married this Saturday so busy this week. Next week I will have time for a game of HoMM3. I have never played multiplayer online, only hotseat, but I'm very familiar with HoTA at least.

Gog.com is recommended. Also do not get the "HD" release, it is a bad cash grab and also does not work with the mods.

Not too sure apart from the essential ones already mentioned (HD Mod and HOTA).

There is another fan expansion called In The Wake Of Gods, but I have not played it.
