[SPOILER] Azure Moon

We got Confusianism! In the most faraway from a border, max 1-hammer city.

At least we got a free missionary! We can send it to the AT border coz we need that corn back (both for economical and tactical reasons).

I pillaged the road lol

Pillaged the other road too. Just in time before his stack arrived.

A Great Merchant was born. I started a Golden Age, but it doesn't feel like one. I am depressed at how small my cities are compared to how they could be.

We are 37 land tiles behind the second to last in Land, and the leader will soon double us. My chance to correct that is in shambles: I don't think I can invade Charriu now.

Worst case scenario: AT thinks better of it and doesn't move in his stack. I can't commit my stacks to invading Charriu with AT sitting on the other side troops ready for his 4th attack.

Best case scenario: AT moves in, I destroy his stack and start taking land from a defeated player probably just phoning it in.

Founded a new city in the middle of all this. Just two more to go.

Confucianism spread to TWO cities naturally last turn! Maybe we can get religion going after all.

Going to try and convert to Bureaucracy and Organized Religion on the last turn of the Golden Age.

Gonna be a close call. We met Mr Cairo this turn. I offered him two resources for 50 gold.

AT declared as soon as the peace treaty was up, as expected. I sent him this as a last ditch effort. Maybe he'll see sense and turn that stack around to someone who isn't prepared for it.

With Rowe's borders expanded, I'm getting culture on the corn. After ending turn, I had 55% on AT's 45%. But he still owned the tile. It must only update the turn after  alright

Mr Cairo didn't take the deal, but I started building Wealth and I think that will be enough. I should have started with that.

Ah yes. We signed peace today. Glad I never panicked or lost my will. *sips tea*

He didn't accept the first offer, but sent in a peace treaty without the formal declaration of war on Charriu. That's fair, he got the idea.

If AT commits to a war on Charriu (or someone else), we can attack Charriu. Or AT himself in 10 turns  mischief

Fhirdiad is one of the few places without whip unhappiness. I want it to be big when Bureaucracy kicks in.

We are making the legendary size 1 Settler in Rhodos Coast. It may break many rules of thumb, but I think it's good here because of the forest chops.

We have a Trireme being built soon. I'll check out the small island. We should settle that too. Need a galley. A trireme was needed for the war.

Pindicator and Mjmd are warring. Big power difference there. Are they neighbors though?

Correction: It's Pindicator vs Mjmd AND Superdeath.

My bet is still on Pindicator, he's #1 in Power and the others aren't near, cause we are #2 currently.

We got the corn! Also I counted AT's units and he did have a nice number advantage if he attacked immediately. So maybe it is best after all that he didn't.

We can actually build the galley here. It got an extra happiness when I converted to Confucianism.

Golden Age ego boosting Demos.

I'm thinking of offering a duo war declaration on Charriu to AT when my own stack is closer to Charriu's border, if he hasn't attacked Charriu by then.

AT could accept and then stab me in the back while my troops are away.

On the other hand, if we stagnate with half the land the leader has, we have no chance to win.

AT declared war on Charriu and moved his stack, presumably into a jungle in Charriu's territory.

He offered me this. He wants me to attack Charriu. I wasn't sure if I could trust him, but he attacked Charriu with still 7 turns to go in our peace treaty. That definitely makes me feel better about it.

I plan to join in. I'm moving my stack and adding reinforcements from the cities that can still reach the stack on the way. I sent clam for clam back to AT. I don't know what that means. But it is meant to be an "OK". Yeah I'm a hypocrite.

If AT asks me to declare next turn, maybe I will have to accept. Better than him backing out from the war. He has a scout near my stack, but I'm not sure if he can see it yet. Next turn he can for sure.

I might be able to get Machinery and turn my axes into Macemen before heading out.

I'm going to send an axe and a spear this way to keep track of AT's stack. If I know where it is, I can rest easy.

Yay there's more food here. The galley is ready and the settler is being built. Should have settled this earlier for trade routes. Right now I have +2 +2 in all cities, from Mjmd and Cairo.

We converted to Bureaucracy and OR! Adding HR would have been nice too, but we had no need for winery or for more happiness, so it hasn't been a priority in research.

Last turn of GA demos, say goodbye.

In other news, a Great General was born far away. Pindi and Superdeath must have clashed. Pindi went on a whipping spree last turn with five -14 whips. Larger than 2-pop whips.

#1 in GNP at 0% feels good, even if it is in a golden age.

We could hit Machinery in time, but only upgrade one Axe with the leftover gold.. So I'm not going to rush it.

Approaching Charriu. T-3 to war. Also we settled the aptly named Tailtean Plains.

AT captured a city from Charriu. Nice! I sent him some free silk, he's deserved it.
