I made a big mistake. I didn't know he would get cultural defenses back immediately. Well, can't run away now

Catapult 20% withdrew
Catapult 13% lost
Catapult 5% lost
Catapult 21% withdrew
Catapult 14% withdrew
Catapult 27% lost
Catapult 40% lost
Catapult 17% lost
Catapult 39% lost
Mace 69% won
Mace 70% lost
Mace 69% won
Mace 80% won
Mace 80% won
BE 72% won
BE 84% lost
BE 84% lost
BE 84% won
BE 54% won
BE 54% won
BE 71% won
BE 72% won
Mace 76% won
What I have left (auto-promote is on).
What he's got.
We went 11-10 and now it's his turn to attack. It's not looking great for us.

Hmm I think I should have used the catapults to take down the cultural defense instead. At least if Great Walls don't give the Walls bonus. I was hoping collateral would push the odds more in my favor (get the enemy units lower HP) than they did.

I was happy to wake up to our stack being alive and well
But we're not out of it yet. He threw in all his catapults and didn't attack with the rest, but he will get healed this turn. We won't.
A brave spearman stayed behind to pillage his only road. Maybe he didn't bring combat workers and can't reach us.
We did our first 4-drop of reinforcements via galleys. If our stack survives this following turn, everything will be fine. Apart from the possibly endless war, but defending will be cheaper than attacking.

We got away with it. I was worried my mistake would cost me the stack and maybe cities. Now we're safe on this front.
I saw AT build a HA in his border city. I sent him OB, I want to keep an eye on his units. I just helped the crap out of him by not asking for peace before he got out, but I wouldn't put it past him to attack me again. Fool me 4 times, extreme shame on me
I have been pulling units from everywhere IN CASE I lost the stack and had to defend against Charriu moving in. Now I can strengthen the other front again.
A little detour to kickstart our economy. If we don't get it, it should still be a good hammers for gold trade.
I want to get Markets up ASAP in high gold cities, and Courthouses in faraway cities. I also want to get Music before the Great Artist is gone, it's been delayed a ton due to upgrading Axes to Macemen.
E: Charriu has Feudalism, queued up Machinery next. He didn't accept peace, or send back an offer. If he doesn't accept next turn, then there's not much hope of him ever accepting.

Some charts:
Additionally his GNP at full is around ours at zero. We've got the clear advantage.
However war will continue to drain our resources. We have to somehow juggle between economy and war, enough that we'll be so much ahead that we can safely wipe him out. Or wait for Mjmd or AT to attack him.
Or we could go all out right now. Maybe that is necessary. If Charriu doesn't accept peace next turn, I'll have some decisions to make.

He brought workers this time Stack is safe, but city is not. I retreated to heal up and join up with reinforcements.
So I'm pretty confident that's as far as he can get. No more move advantage after this. But the question is.. If we finally get the peace we wanted, do we take it now that we've lost 2 of the cities we had conquered, or do we strike back?
Mjmd does have some HA's near Charriu at least.
AT didn't accept OB. I should also mention that Charriu could send a secondary stack that way. Back when he was attacking AT, I was actually very worried he'd try to "base race" me.
E: Oh ya, I chose not to go all out, at least yet. Instead I am getting Music in 2T to grab the GP (and our spawn is in 9T). Building wealth in some cities to get there.

My GPT jumped by over +20 when Charriu took JuvenileWizards back from me. Maybe less land has been my strength instead of weakness
Music next turn. Hired another specialist so we spawn one in 6T instead of 8T. Golden Age then.
Charriu does not have CS or Machinery so it'll be a while until he can match our Macemen.
I offered peace to him for 20 GPT. He won't accept, but he'll know that I'm in a better position than I was a few turns ago.

Negotiation worked I did accept. We can go back in if desired.
Now we can focus on some infra and have a nice Golden Age. Happy caps go back up with WW gone.
Bad news is that Cairo attacked AT. I'm not planning to go dogpile. I hope AT can hold out. At least he's been building up forces after he lost his stack to Charriu.
I'm firmly in #4 place behind Pindicator, Mjmd and Cairo. In my future I see myself bordering two of the three.
Overview. We're still the smallest nation. Small, but stronk!

We got the Great Library! With that and the Great Artist, the detour to Music was well worth it.
Overview. Building much needed infra and growing (most) cities. GA in 2.
Charriu has a bunch of archers (future longbowmen?) fortified here. More he brings there the better for us. We can do a fun maneuver blocking them off.
AT managed to defend against Cairo. No losses shown in Power yet, but Cairo got a GG, so maybe next turn. Mjmd concerns me, he's looking strong and Charriu on his least defensible border isn't a threat to him.
