Not sure what your tracking is, but we used a small PHP script to track the current turnplayer for PBEMs in the past: https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/show...p?tid=4632

If you're interested, Ruff may have the latest version of the .php file (originally made by Mist), or if not I can try to dig it up from my archives.

I'm tracking all kinds of gameplay data (bonus commerce from Financial, bonus reduction from AGGs maintenance etc.). Unfortunately for this tracking I need a centralized element, wish advances the turn. This is easily done via the server in a PB, but in a PBEM I would have to check how to do this.

Not a signup (maybe if the map was very small, which it doesn't sound like you want). But we just ran PB50 as a sequential pitboss instead of PBEM. All the benefits of PBEM end-of-turn production and avoiding double move issues, but added ease of turn tracking and notifications from PBSpy, and the ability to log in out-of-turn to take screenshots and tweak micro for the next turn. No score option can eliminate some extra PBSpy info if that is an issue.

THIS.
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. And my tracking will work with this. mischief

We would be open to playing a sequential Pitboss instead of PBEM if more people are willing to join in that case, or if there is a strong preference for it.  I had not considered it as a possibility, but we do prefer PBEM because then multiple people can have the turn open at the same time instead of having only one person logged in.  Taking screenshots doesn't make a difference since you can always load the previous save to do that.  In fact it's probably easier to grab screenshots in a PBEM because you'll always have the previous saves available. PBEM also allows you to check the game situation before deciding on a trade deal. I also have a tendency to keep the game open just to look at things, which is less convenient in a Pitboss.

We used to have an email tracker for turn tracking as mentioned above, not sure if that is still a possibility or not.  Remember that there have still been more PBEMs than PBs played so far. neenerneener

I have edited the thread title accordingly.

I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Not interested in playing but interested in reading, so I'm posting here for all the people that need viewers to play/keep threads updated wink
Yeah, I'm not happy about my past behaviour either. shakehead

This is an incredibly bad idea given that:

A) I was never very good at BtS

B) I'm probably worse at CtH, given that I know almost nothing about the mod

C) I haven't played a PBEM in years, and I don't remember if I even played the last to completion

But madness has gripped me, and barring having made Noble's Secret Shit List I'd like to sign up. Unless someone else wants to take the slot, in which case by all means do so.

I have a vague preference for a PBEM because I've become an old man and inherently distrust anything I haven't tried before (except, apparently, this mod), but would be willing to try Sequential Pitboss as long as it doesn't require me to keep track of timezones and jump through a succession of hoops.
