Serdoa 5-9PM CEST (11AM-3PM EDT)
Rusten 7-10PM CEST (1-4PM EDT)
Gaspar 6-10PM EDT
Bob 7-11PM EDT
Superdeath 7PM-1AM CDT (8PM-2AM EDT)
Lewwyn 8-11 AM EDT (also 6-11PM EDT)
I propose that pindicator rolls a random player to be first in turn order, and that person will also be last in snake pick order. The turn order is still set according to the above - so if Superdeath is rolled to be first in turn order, that means Lewwyn is second in turn order and Serdoa is third. The snake pick order would then be Bob first followed by Gaspar and Rusten and so on. There cannot be any scenario where Rusten picks after Superdeath. The reasoning for this is that first in turn order is an objective advantage, and I believe first in snake pick order is also an advantage. So this is to mitigate those factors and have them offset somewhat.
Let's wait at least a day or so for anyone to voice objections to this before pindicator rolls a person.
We will only pick after seeing starting screenshots (and knowing whether the map is Toroidal or Cylindrical). That means we will have to wait for the map to be (mostly) finished before we can start picking, unless the first person to pick wants to waive his right to this and pick in the dark, I guess.
Looks like everyone is good with this, so can you roll a first in turn order (and thus last in pick order) player, pindicator? And can you tell us whether the map is Toroidal or Cylindrical?

I put the above names in the list to numbers 1-6 and rolled in random.org:
Looks like that makes Bob first pick.
The map is Cylindrical and unfortunately I either forgot how much time went into making one of these or I'm slower than I used to be. I have a general shape down but there is still a lot to be done and a lot more hand-drawing that I thought there would be. I'm not trying to mirror but I didn't get the shape I wanted in any of the maps I rolled so there's a lot of drawing and then trying to make that look natural before we get into other balance considerations.

I think that makes Bob first in turn order and last in pick. NOgas picks first and we go to bob

Lewwyn's understanding is mine as well but I don't think Noble and I care either way as long as we're clear on it. As the situation was discussed pin was supposed to be rolling for turn order which makes the turn order Bob > SD > Lew > Serdoa > Rusten > Me and the pick order Me > Rusten > Serdoa > Lew > SD > Bob. Is this everyone else's understanding?
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Yeah, the original intent was for pindi to roll turn order, looks good.

I'm OK with the roll being turn order. NH did explicitly state it this way beforehand.

OK. Thanks everyone. I was explicitly trying to avoid any potential controversy by saying what the roll was for before it was made. I will start filling up the tech thread now.

Bob came up first and I caused a mess by misunderstanding. Sorry!
