Connected but lagging, froze, and eventually lost connection to the server (99% sure it’s WiFi related, I’ve had issues here before). Have plans for this evening so it will probably be in the morning before I get to the turn.

I went to play my turn, accidentally had the wrong mod loaded, hit cancel when it told me about it, it said "load failed" and now I time out when trying to connect. Is the problem on my end? Or did I cause a problem trying to connect with the wrong mod?
Anyone else having trouble connecting?

I also was unable to connect, and PBSpy shows the game server is offline

I'll follow-up in here: I solved my p2p connectivity issues, and I feel very stupid. I thought I should share the conclusion in here.
The conclusion is there was actually two issues. The hosts file was obviously one, but once I fixed that, the first time I tested it I still had the issue, so I wrongly thought it didn't help. During a weekday I'm often connected to a VPN because I work from home. It doesn't prevent me from connecting to a game so I sometimes don't even bother disconnecting from the VPN if I pop into the game at lunch time or whatever. Sure enough, disconnect the VPN, and I was able to connect to another player earlier with no issues.

If your VPN was affecting your connection then it sounds like your employer has a record of how much Civ you've been playing.

Because somebody will ask this sooner or later. As some may have noticed pindicator found a bug concerning circumnavigation and the Great Lighthouse. Fixes are in place for PB52.
For you nothing has to change. Because this is a flat map, nobody can achieve circumnavigation and therefore nobody can trigger that bug.

I can't log in to the game, is this one offline too for the patch? I'm pretty busy today, might need a short pause depending when it's working again.
