Superdeath wants to be the very best Piñata.

So Mao (EXP/PRO) of China. A pretty fun combo from micro planning perspective, but please be nice to pindicator in WW so that you can find luxury resources and can survive without culture generation as long as possible..  shades

Let's come back to more detailed stuff later, but here are comments for the very early turns in case the game starts over the next days..

Big pic:
  • With China you can play a decent worker boat opening, but that's not the reason you picked the civ.. The reason is that China is the only civ that can pull reasonably ahead from WB openings that would be the way to go for most civs with this start
  • BW-Fishing-Hunting is pretty much given as the early tech path. After that the decision will be AH vs Wheel-Pottery for EXP granaries and cottages based on how the surroundings look
  • I would be very surprised if it would not be correct to build 2 workers before the settler as you have a lot to do already in the capital BFC, but I'll look into that as well..
Micro decisions, turn 0-10:
  • Turn 0: Settle in place, start worker, start researching BW
  • Turns 0-4: Work 3/0/1 sugar
  • Turns 5-10: Work 2/2/0 deer after the border pop
  • Micro department appreciates revealing potential sites for the 2nd city as the priority, but should you make contact with 2 civs that have Fishing that would be a minor bonus (if starts would be identical I think the most opponents will go Fishing first)

Gaspar & NobleHelium - Augustus of Byzantium
Rusten & Hitru - Justinian of Aztec
Serdoa - Wang Kon of Russia
Lewwyn - Charlemagne of Spain
superdeath & GeneralKilCavalry - Mao of China
Bobchillingworth - Hannibal of Maya

There is our lineup.

Scary neighbors in need of a classic/EARLY medieval rush or slapping- Augustus of Byzantium.

Neighbors we can settle up on- Wang Kon of Russia.

Neighbors to watch for opportunistic strikes in the early game- Hannibal of Maya, Justinian of Aztec.

Someone we want neighboring Gaspar and Noble- Lewwyn, Burger King of Spain.

ill do a better analysis in a day or so.

Anything in fog is subject to change.

Does "anything in fog" mean literal fog, the Big-Fat-Cross, or something different?

Highlighted "city?" site could make sense. I was crossing fingers that there would be a spot in the east that could share the wheat and get immediate PRO trade routes, but it looks like the river might not extend far enough. Revealing another Agri-resource is anyways good and keeps the dream of going for fast Pottery before AH alive..

Yeah, optimally you probably want 2nd and 3rd city sites that either get 2 valuable new resources or 1 new + can share one of capital's resources in the 2nd ring. But of course everything TBD and will have to see how land looks

Sure, from this position I would probably first check relevant 2nd city sites to the east and then make a big round back to see whether there are good sites west of the capital. But of course locating neighbors can also be a priority if you decide so. How many land tiles there are in this game / per player?

E-SE would be the other option if 3E is a flat tile (not sure based on pic, but you can probably zoom it in game)

I'll let you and GKC do or not do C&D. With regards to limited C&D, the most worthwhile thing would be to follow the development of soldier points in connection with score increases. Ie. are the changes due to new techs or population growth. That way I think you would have pretty good chance to notice when people get out their first warriors or first metal units and then decide whether to react or gamble.

Interesting stuff so far.

I have no clue where to find the rough tile count or if Pindicator said what it was.
