I've added No Unit Gifting to the tech thread.

The "no map trading" and "no city trading" game options were mixed up. Apparently even back in RtR. Okay so there is a bit of a problem where the map trading and city trading options are flipped. So I believe our game actually has map trading disabled and city trading enabled, although I am unable to confirm this at the moment for obvious reasons. If this is indeed the case, I propose we continue as is and simply refrain from trading cities. We should have the expectation that map trading is disabled in-game, but if it turns out that we can indeed trade them then we can go ahead and trade them.

That's fine.

So most of you have probably seen the posts about the bug with Byzantium since there are two other active games with Byzantium. The bug is that Byzantium cannot build colosseums and it can only build base theatres instead of hippodromes. It should be possible to patch the mod to fix the bug (I believe we would all need to install a new set of mod files but they would still be named v1.4.5 of the mod) but I'm not 100% sure that will work with no issues since this has never been done before in a PBEM. And we are not sure whether we will ever need to build either of those buildings in this game, and also the difference between theatres and hippodromes is rather small. So I propose that we continue as is and if in the future we really feel the need to build a colosseum or a hippodrome then we can attempt to update the mod. If updating the mod fails, then we would go back to the current version and continue as is.
This is of course contingent on you guys being OK with us potentially building theatres instead of hippodromes. As a reminder, the only difference between a theatre and a hippodrome is that theatres provide +1 happy with dye and hippodromes provide +1 happy with horse.

Yes, you are right. Hippodromes provide 1 happy per 5% culture slider rather than 10%.
