Neither really fits; maybe you're looking for isthmus (a narrow strip of land with sea on either side, forming a link between two larger areas of land)?

When I opened a bunch of tabs of new posts, and read this out of context, I thought I was in the Codenames thread for a second lol

duh at least I was close ... using the inverse a word is closer to correct than a totally different word, right? Let's call this clever bait to lure in some lurker comments yup

"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. [Image: noidea.gif] In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

So, I grabbed a screenshot to show Charriu the "bug":

BLOCKADE IS BLOCKING MY TILES!@#$%^&*

*tries to assign citizens to the two land tiles, doesn't work*  rant rant rant banghead banghead  Charriu, you messed up working land tiles when you implemented this blockade change!

Buuuuuuuutttt ... when I uploaded the screenshot and hit preview, I looked closer. Yep, there's a reason I can't work those tiles, and it's not the that the blockade is bugged. Look really close ... why can't I work those tiles? shhh

The blockade is blocking the happiness resourcessmoke, and without the resources I have more unhappiness than citizens due to whips/drafts

@charriu ... bug: No option to pillage the village that my horseman is standing on:

Tested in single player. Towns, hamlets, and cottages can all be pillaged, but not villages.

Why pillage when its soon to be yours? >smile

Why is Maastricht now a size 2 city? How did you manage to slaughter six citizens in less than a turn?

Oof, poor Maastricht-ians.
