Thanks Sullla. I don't have a picture pre-edits, but here is the map:
Here are some comments:
1) I switched a deer to a cow and added one hill and the forests to try and give the player one decent hammer city other than the capital.
2) The iron is an edit, since the map didn't have any and the capital was weak. The settler wasn't moved, but the warrior was placed to allow the player to spot the cow if they avoided the hill.
3) I wanted to balance the happiness resources, so I swapped spices for wines. That way hunting, monarchy, and calendar all have a payoff.
4) This island was 1-tile before, but got some more land and a fish to make up for deleted land and fish in the middle.
5) I added in furs and some forests to make the 2-tile island plant a bit better.
6) I moved the fish 1 tile so the player wasn't forced to plant on copper for the island city.
7) I moved the crabs towards the Ivory, they were another deleted middle resource.
8) Sugar island was my biggest edit - I wanted to provide a late-game spot that has better land but doesn't make sense to settle too soon. Hence only a calendar food, but also the map's biggest patch of grassland.
9) The deleted deer near the capital is moved here to make oil+silver city a bit better.
10) I think this island is the best second city, but not overwhelmingly so. I did this to encourage the tradeoff of a slower over-water plant versus walking the settler forward on land.
11) 6 tiles of water, as requested.
All in all I buffed the map a good bit, but I did little for production and very little for commerce. The map is rather dry and there are no rivers and little fresh water, so hopefully there will some challenge.
