Yup, agreed. I found that part of scooter's report (border adjustment) really amusing.

From Scooter's thread it looks like TBS didn't take the peace offer (at least not initially).
Wonder if TBS will decide to stay at war, recapture his cities while Cornflakes is explaining to Scooter why doing an opponent a small injury is a bad idea, and then carry on into Cornflake's territory. If TBS wants any shot at victory he will need more land.

I think accepting peace and splitting Cairo with Comm is the right play for TBS here

Agreed.
Looking at TBS's last update and the stack Cornflakes still has in TBS land......peace and hitting someone else is the better play.

Agreed, although a 4-player game is probably NOT great dynamics for those in 3rd/4th.

I think honestly Commodore has probably had the smartest play here of the former geopolitical situation. Scooter's move on CF makes sense in a vacuum - take two critical wonders off the tech leader, get some border room. But I mean, who isn't going to tilt after losing GLH and MoM? And I know I over-boogeyman things, but TBS is the kind of guy you want to make sure stays dead - I'd probably have let Cornflakes hurt him more before I got involved if I were scooter.
I still think scooter will eventually win out against CF, because he's the more experienced warmonger and more build queues means he'll hold stronger over the long run. The question is whether this sequence of moves is enough for TBS to get back to the big kids table.
I wouldn't give TBS as much as CF did, but I also think its perfectly reasonable for him to decide his new game goal is effing scooter.
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

I think it's pretty interesting that scooter seems to think that CF was a clear favorite and that CF seems to think he had a small chance of winning before and none now.
If scooter is correct, then his play makes sense. if CF is correct, then scooter's play makes no real sense.

Well sure, this commonly occurs. Players have incomplete information and that's on top of inherently differing opinions.

Yeah, players should know the weaknesses in their own empire, but don't necessarily know the same for their neighbours.

I think Scooter overestimated how good position Cornflakes had ( was partially blinded by tech ) and did not understand how badly he hurt Corn. Corn is tilted and will drag Scooter down with him. So I think it's now Commodore's game to lose but if Cairo can hurt him enough and give TBS opportunity to capture most of his core TBS might get back in game as I predicted once Scooter burned those wonders. But Comm is favorite now, he just needs to make sure TBS can't eat Corn while he is throwing everything he has vs Scooter.
