If my abacus was right, Scooter has a 63% chance to kill an archer. Honestly, those odds are not great for him. Not sure what he does:
My chariot is perpetually out of place. We'll see what happens.

Alright, Scooter. Let's roll some goddamn dice.
Seeing that I was advancing with my spears, Scooter moved his chariots up. I miscalculated the odds an archer gets defending a forest hill, so ~73% of the time, Scooter only loses 1 chariot killing my archer. So, on the domestic front, he can disconnect my copper again if he likes. I don't think my cities are at risk. I can whip archers. In his lands, I've moved up 3 spears and two archers to attack Counter-Strike. You can compare this turn and last turn's screenshots. He grew to 2 this turn, so he can whip a defender if he has one in the queue. He gained a monument on the inter-turn, helped along by a chop. He founded on t67. So, he built that monument in 8 turns, helped along by the cow pasture. Depending on how fast he built the pasture, he could have put enough safety hammers in to whip a bronze unit. (He easily could have put 1 hammer into an archer or chariot.) I have to assume because of the boldness of his chariot move, he thinks he's enough of a defense. As always, this could be a trap and there could be tons of units in an un-fogged tile. (My galley has seen that he's shipping down axes.)
His axe can kill an archer. He can roll a 50-50 spear vs. spear and chariot vs. chariot. He can attack with both warriors to wound a spear and archer respectively. Then, I imagine, his defender is born on the inter-turn. So, as I said, let's roll some dice.
(Popcorn smilie retracted if I don't win the dice rolls.)

So in essence you are preparing a counterattack on counterstrike.

So, I missed a potential move, and Scooter, if he avoids the capital and its soon-to-be-produced spear, can raze Barcelona.
He doesn't know it's undefended, but he should suspect that a spear is coming from the capital and he should dodge it. That makes me sad, but I think I'll be content for the rest of the game:
Scooter retreated his chariot and whipped a scout. He did attack an archer with his axe. The archer fought valiantly. (Well, Cyneheard's spreadsheet tells me that the wounds the axe received were about 48% likely, so not too surprising.) Then, I started to feel bad, because I suspect that real life and parenthood are distracting Scooter:
There was probably a way to avoid getting his workers captured if he moved them and his units to the forest 1N of Counter Strike. On the one hand, I feel bad for beating up on someone who's distracted. On the other hand, he could have made peace after crippling me any time after pillaging my copper, killing my workers, or razing my cities, so... I took the workers with a chariot.
I can play out the rest of the game happy.

oops. I forgot that you need both a mine and a road connection in order to connect copper.
If I were paying attention, I could have connected a second road. The tile 1SW of the copper only needs 1 turn of construction. Oh well. As I said before, I've accomplished what I wanted to in this game, and I'm content to bunker up and build archers until the end. (Although if Miguelito could keep lending me horses for 3 turns, that would be very nice. I was going to ship over an archer from my island, but I worry about Cairo's galley.
My units that burned Counter-Strike could try a fighting retreat, but the feasibility of that was in doubt, so I'm trying one last trick. If Scooter pays attention at all, he should be fine, but if he leaves League with just an axe, I'll take the swing:
Silly game, but I'm still happy. I think I've repaid Scooter's chariot rush sufficiently. Oh, and if I survive long enough to pop the Stonehenge prophet, I'm going to settle him. How often do you see that?

When one of my games ends lets totally play a duel, this was entertaining.

Settled prophets from Stonehenge are actually fairly common. Henge is the super early wonder and it's often too early to bulb anything with the prophet. If you have a religion you'd build a shrine, but that is often not the case. It's just that early Henge has fallen out of favor in these parts.

Heartbreak.
I threw away the capital. Scooter won his 19% battle against Barcelona's archer, so he didn't lose a chariot. He killed an archer of mine in the open field, and I attacked out with a cap archer and Scooter won his 9% battle for that chariot to survive. Jesus Christ. How? How can Scooter have luck left in the tank after his map roll and his lucky conquest of Seville? It blows my mind. And now I'm losing Stonehenge and my capital because Scooter won both a 19% and 9% in back to back turns. Of course, this was on me. I shouldn't have attacked out. I was tilted to the moon by his luck at Barcelona. Man that's fucking infuriating. Painful. Less than 2% of him winning both those fights. Again, again, I shouldn't have attacked out, but come on.
