Ok t47

We whipped the settler in cap. Gave Ragga the sheep and start a granary in Ragga. At 3 we start the settler there.

Warrior is in front of the worker and second warrior coming from the east. That first warrior will go south and check SD's copper. Maybe run some interference. The second warrior out of Cumberworld couldn't join him as planned because Amica's warrior showed up on the cap's border.

Here's Amica's land as we know it:

Nice silver and copper with food.

We whipped 2 pop off and are still 2nd in yields, not bad.

I was busy and missed reporting t48, but basically we continued. Comm Wardecced and move his scout through our territory and peaced us this t49.

T49 we also meet Jowy:

He's hanging around SD's copper. Where we think the city will settle. We settle OUR city next turn. it takes food and marble from SD so I think he'll be pissed. Luckily he's barely paying attention to this game so we currently aren't getting his best effort. I wonder if SD jus signs up for all these games to make sure there's enough people in for other people to play with. He's stretched so thin he's like a human AI.

We have the amica warrior around and we have 2 of our warriors in place to hit his if it comes into the cow patty.

Everything else seems fine, copper's connected and cap has started an axe.

SD settled his copper city 1S of our predicted location. He also settled a different city on the same turn which was not at the horse, because otherwise we would see borders in the fog.

We got graphs on Commodore (at 32 EP since he hasn't spent any on us) so I switched us over to Jowy. Our mistake of saving gold an extra turn can be mitigated by building a mine at Gillie which should speed up the monument by 1t, making up for the fact that we cannot start it before completing the work boat. We still lose out a bit because I'd rather build and work a cottage first, but it's better to get the fish 1t sooner.

After Mysticism I think our next two tech targets should be Sailing and Writing. We want Writing for OB to hopefully trade with someone we've met but we also need Sailing for the actual trade route. So I say we tech Sailing first and then Writing. People are much more likely to tech Writing so we may get some KTB by the time we get to teching it. Not to mention that if Amica techs Writing then we can ask him for OB right as we get Sailing, rather than waiting until we get Writing ourselves. We can look at settling the island to the west but it'll be a while before Fopdoodle is ready to build a galley.

I moved the warrior towards SD's copper before I settled. Ooops.

Now my thoughts...

Whip the axe in cap, continue warrior down towards his copper, play a double turn(we're not at war yet) start the axe moving so that if SD's warrior goes onto the forestedhill next to the city the axe can hit it in surprise or the axe can move into the city. I'm not sure about the worker. We could move both the warrior and worker to the forested hill and chop into a WB. We could finish a WB in 4t with a chop and 1 turn of working the forest. Also SD could move onto the sheep and we could risk a warrior shot, move the axe inot the city, and pull back the worker if the warrior dies.

I'm not double moving I think we're basically in a turn split situation:

SD'd culture shows us that he did plant for horse noly it's second ring. So now we settle pigs instead of horse and we go capture his horse city. I'm tired. Noble can post our convo or sum it up.

I mean, it's pretty obvious what we're doing. There is a Chinese saying that can be roughly translated as "act first to be the stronger party."

SD declared war and offered peace... for war with Amica?

Declined. At least we're officially at war now.

He's got a warrior next to us and a warrior on his copper, but no worker there, which is promising. Hopefully he won't get closer to Fopdoodle and we can't chop the forest there into a 4t WB before growing, starting and whipping an axe.

Demos this turn and after the turn rolled for Noble:

Didn't have a lot of time today so I didn't report just played and did other things. I'll try to update you guys.

We moved in on SD and see this, then this next turn we saw him move his workers to the copper and warrior to the city.

YOLO

Well if we had won that we would have been in the catbird's seat so it was worth the shot. Now we have to chase SD's warrior back to his horse city with our axe and back up and hope we can raise his horse city. Next turn we'll settle pigs and such. If we can't take horse city then we'll set up a defensive position and try to expand. Our tech sucks though and we have little hope of settling our gold anytime soon. The stark difference in SD getting gems so close and food is just... well I'll just say it not my favorite map.
