Which island? The interior ones aren't worth taking atm even assuming you get all your mainland spots you want. The outer ones look juicier.

It'll be an outer one. Espresso Martini can 2-whip a galley whenever necessary.
Believe it or not there are only 2 contested inland spots left for us (jungle), assuming Ruff doesn't settle that hill before our settler arrives.

I might need you guys to sub for either one or two turns between Monday 16th and Wednesday 18th. Moving house and won't have access to a computer between the Monday and the Wednesday afternooons. Two turns max, one if the timer is friendly.
I could leave instructions in a post/signs. Is either of you able to?

Thanks! I'll make a post/signs/play a turn or two tomorrow. Hopefully I can roll it.
Hope you are having fun in time off from children. Or maybe missing them. Either is wholesome in a way.
I expect at least one critical mistake.

A series of bad news on T82. First off, Gavagai got the Oracle. Shame. I'm thinking we should build a temple in either Moscow Mule or Aperol for a priest to create a prophet (our shrine is already worth quite a bit). I've queued up a lighthouse in Moscow, and I think we'll whip a temple after that. Or perhaps it will be the other way around, actually.
Also: Lewwyn will get this island
We have an axe over near where our galley is going to come out, and we could have another soon afterwards. The city will be guarded by a spear. I am seriously considering sailing across and taking it once it hits size 2, or maybe even at size 1. What do you guys think?

Note, if we do attack that island, we also rush IW and those two jungle spots now I think, and delay that other island until later. We could have IW researched and those cities settled by T88-90 ish. Also, stupid barbarians have totally messed up my micro down at the barb city. Not like 1 'oh he should have prepared for that warrior' barbarian, but 2 axes and an archer and a warrior all showing up within 3 turns. Grr.

Get IW. Take the mainland. Invade the island later. Hell a galley and 2 axes looks like it should do it atm, but I expect more.
I would keep pre chopping at the border with 1 worker. We can then build another wonder there later / go for GLH if you think will still be out there. Speaking of GLH. You really should get started on half the GLH in circumnav with the work boat you have out (go west unless you think Lewyyn will be kind). Next one can explore the islands.

Depending on how scared we are about landing those IW cities, is it worth settling them BEFORE IW? It's definitely doable. I'm going to think about it for the next hour or two before the turn rolls, and we can swap Negroni/Whiskey to a settler each right now if we want to. The tricky thing would be getting them connected in time.
Work boat circumnavigating as we speak. I gave AT OB to be nice so if he is west of Ruff then hopefully he will return the favour. If Gavagai is west of Ruff then I'm not sure.

OK I've been trying to squeeze out something decent for a while and I have a setup that settles+connects the two jungle cities in 5 and 6 turns respectively, without crippling anywhere else.
We start chopping the rice jungle down on T88 with 2 workers and we chop the sugar down T89. One turn slow but with a change of plans so drastic I guess you end up with small imperfections.
Also, we got that Ruff pink dot! We settle it next turn. I think I am going to turn it into a production city with farms and mines; is that dumb? Should it just work 5 cottages instead? There are no food resources so whipping it will hurt a lot, which is why I was thinking maybe food/hammers instead.
Also-Also, I sent a copper/copper deal to SD with 'stop trading with Lewwyn,' which he will hopefully take as 'let's meet in the middle'
