News:

Lewwyn built the Hanging Gardens. (67 point jump in PBspy eek)
I also forgot to report that he got the Pyramids some time ago.
Gavagai built the Colossus.
Lewwyn declared war on Superdeath. Could be just to get a work boat through. It's too far away to do anything about it either way.

@Ruff: You have a lot more experience. I could really do with some advice.

We are currently first in crop yield and GDP.

The tech path I'm considering is the lower route with Metal Casting, Machinery, Monarchy, Feudalism, Guilds followed by Optics, Astronomy (partial bulb?) and then Engineering (into Chemistry, Steel, MilSci). This map is very watery and this would allow us to attack someone with knights or go for a maritime strategy, threatening their coastline and isolating and capturing their islands. Since this is CTH we also need Paper for Galleons: Code of Laws, Civil Service, Paper.

Is this reasonable?
Should we go for Code of Laws -> Civil Service first?
Is spreading a religion worth it?

Confucionism is still available. Our capital is very strong so Bureaucracy is likey worth it even with 20 cities. We could go for Organized religion and spam missionaries then build forges.

WoD ... ratiocinate - Form judgments by a process of logic

This sounds like a made up word.

Experience but not very sound at the micro (I am marveling at how you have pushed and pushed re cities).

I am also poor at these sorts of tech path judgement decisions. I will log in and take a peek at the map and get back to you.

This game looks a lot different with you running it that me. I am more roady while you aren't. You have certainly managed your unit resources ... I would typically have more, but less cities.

Anyway ... this game will not be decided on the water. Forget a navel strategy. You will need defenses ... but that is not where you will win this game.

I think the keys for you will be city specialization. It doesn't appear that you have decided what city does what. Which is your main military pump? Who are your money makers? Where are you generating Great People? Your internal infrastructure (libraries, markets, etc) is almost non-existent.

You have parity with both of your neighbours ... are you 'friendlier' with one or the other? If so, attack the other one (first).

(more to come)

are You haven't really

Charts ... of you and both of your neighbours.

You are tracking very nicely against these guys. Ahead in GNP (but some of that is the extra culture).

<p>Tombola
Finish that library (4) before you turn your tech back on. Nice capital. Agree with beurcracy (so make that one of your tech targets).

Soubrette
This city should be working the cottages that it shares with Tombola. It's job is to grow those cottages to towns while spitting out workers and / or settlers.

Conurbation
Not a great hammer city ... but decent with the horses (unhooked - but you know that) and the copper. Commerce city while building useful units like missionaries / spies.

BTW - hook the horses and get some chariots into the south to scout. You have OBs with everyone(!) ... so make sure you use that for scouting. You don't need all of these OBs for trade routes.

Quaesitum
I don't know what to make of this city. Probably needs a light house to help it grow and then help with cottages?

Grimoire
Military. Mine those hills and that metal and use this to build units. Right next door to the blue person (AT) so they won't have far to travel to the front. I am unsure about cottaging the flood plans ... I might have farmed them to help with growth.

Legerity
Military - with out a doubt. Needs barracks and stables. And growth to work all of those hills. Definitely farm those grasslands.

Andragogy
Challenged on the growth front. Needs a lighthouse to benefit from those inland sea tiles.

Bonhomie
Hmmm ... Moai statue?

Opuscule
Offshore commerce?

Terraqueous
This might be a nice GP city. Maybe Globe for drafting (if the game gets that far).

Terpsichorean
No idea. This city might be the first against the wall when the revolution comes.

Duende
Nice little city ... main use is to hide navel units in the inland see. You can attack out, but others can attack you. You can get stuck there if you lose this city (and the other one at the other end of the inland sea).

Nisus
No comment.

Litterateur
A blocker for the little red men. Will need walls and Longbows.

Proscipience
Filler?

Diegesis
Hmm ... that certainly is a lot of jungle.

oh ... why running 10% science? I typically run binary (0% or 100%). You don't have many multipliers in your cities yet ... so maybe it doesn't make that much difference.
