[spoiler] Civac fixes it (again)

The plan is still to spread confucianism, start a GA in which I make a 2-3 more GP, build forges and swap into Hereditary Rule/Bureaucracy/Slavery/Organized Religion.

I have put the last 55 or so remaining beakers into Meditation so that the religion can be spread a bit beforehand. I will also research Construction (and possibly Horseback Riding) so that we can react to developments in the AT/Gavagai war. Scout will be in vision range in 2-3 turns. It's quite possible Gavagai will be beaten back. His initial raid succeeded because AT was exceedingly careless. I had 0.8 of Gavagai's power but 1.7 versus AT at the peak. If AT beats back the invasion or stabilizes he will be perfect knight food down the line. If he collapses though we need to take our cut.

The other option is to leave the RoadToNoWwhere along and destroy ImInLoveWithMyCar and HighwayTOHell ... that would cut off the RTNW and leave it dangling.
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

I have decided to go for it.

It looks like AT has nothing which can deal with a Prat/Cat-Stack. Pure Axes are the best he can do. He has a river wine tile but no wine in his trading window. So Longbows are unlikely. The purpose of Horseback Riding is to allow for faster reinforcements with horse archers. A bunch of those Praetorians and Catapults need 6 turns just to reach Legerity. AT has a scout at Soubrette. I could close borders. But if he is not completely asleep closing borders + reseaching Construction on our part would tip himoff too.

AT has concentrated some units near the frontline.

I couldn't find Gavagai's army yet. He only has 2 axes and 2 war chariots south of HitchARide. (Picture is one turn old.)

They have to be somewhere though.

I will break out the pop-corn.

Good luck.

Found some of Gavagai's units.

He should still have a lot more than that. He may have the same problem with long supply lines that I have though his should be a bit shorter.

I considered renaming the scout to Arborist but there is a fairly high chance it will die next turn.

AT's border area to us seems to be almost undefended. Maybe I will move in sooner than planned.

This is from last turn.

It seems Gavagai had an opening to attack AT's stack. He burned his Great General and was able to kill 2 axes, a sword and a chariot of AT's with 4 of his own axes.

AT retreated the rest of his stack.

AT gives the Praetorians something to gawk at when they take his holy city. Commendable.

Attack commences in 2 turns. Next turn I will post an overview over our forces.

Gavagai has made peace with AT. This is not unexpected. It makes sense for Gavagai, a little disappointing nonetheless.

The initial stack consists of 21 units, mostly Praetorians and Catapults.

Close reinforcement increase this number to about 30. A very small amount of additional units are still on the way.

Powerc curve looks alright.

The 4 western cities Legerity, Quaesitum, Grimoire and Proscipience keep making units.

Unit costs are significant now. Gold collection rate went down from 120 pert turn to about 95ish. But that should go up quickly again when cities grow. A recovery GA is planned in 7 turns. Earlier would be possible but I want to set up several GP cities.

More next turn when the war actually starts.

What are the advantages of taking the first or second part of the turn? Usually he wouldn't be able to whip units in time when I'm second but in this case I would need to wait and he sees what's coming anyway.
