It just occurred to me that we could have been safe, but I was an idiot and researched pottery instead of archery. Two archers in SoLong, with stonehenge, is pretty safe except for a major invasion. IN general, you need 2 axes or 3 chariots per archer - could probably do an axe and a chariot, if you needed. But that's a lot of units.
Crap.

sorry I hosed this.
He put the chariot, the axe and 2 warriors next to SoLong. He's got another chariot and a spear on the way. I am not going to let SoLong grow, so it should autoraze, which at least means that no one gets Stonehenge, so amicalola doesn't get totally screwed.
We have 1 quecha in the cap. I don't think we'll get archery in time to get archers there, so we are going to get killed by chariots, I'd guess. SoLong won't fall this turn, but will either next turn or the turn after.

SON OF A...
I didn't check "don't grow" and his warrior stepped on the mined stone I was working and the citizen switched to the cow and SoLong grew. I'm sorry, Amicalola.
We get conquered in a couple of turns, I think. He'll take a worker this turn (I had to block him from taking the cap with a chariot by putting a worker in the way), so we'll have 2 quecha in the cap. Maybe we can get a spear or an axe in, as well, or an archer - probably not, though

oh - SD wanted map feedback. I think it's fine. I'm unhappy that both our nearest neighbors expanded entirely towards us and not the other direction - I dunno if the map pushed them that way or if it was just what they chose.

![alright alright](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/alright.gif) What would you have done differently from the start, if anything?

I dunno - I wasn't part of the game until recently
I'm not really unhappy with the choices made except for a couple:
1) Not covering OuttaHere with a quecha was an obviously terrible choice.
2) Researching pottery while being attacked. If we had 3 cities, archery and copper being hooked up, we would have been ok
Probably shoudl have settled horse/copper first, to be honest. I think stonehenge could have waited for city #3 and a lot of chopping and that way we could have gotten axe/spear out on defense.

The blame is mine for not realizing that a map this tight demanded a more efficient opening than growing to 5 on improved tiles, and the forest growth eating 2 Worker turns certainly didn't help. In hindsight this would've been a good map to reprise PB51 and War Chariot rush

I think we both hosed it ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) and having a forest grow is always a good thing. A challenge, perhaps, but good anyway.

Do you think the cap will fall soon?

probably. I think I'm going to be too late to get archery. He's got at least 3 chariots. Now, chariot vs warrior with a 40% defense on a hill isn't 100% (it's 4 on 3.8), but 3 chariots should be able to take out 2 warriors.
