Turn 146
We are already prepared for war with Nau, we have 4 cats in first instance and 2 more coming. With the main stack we plan to get the capitola nd the rest of the cats are meant to kill the rest of his cities, we think this stack should be enough, its not that big but he has not that much power, also we want to have another stack waiting for ruff just in case. Ruff is making machinery so we want to force him to build some xbows making some maces, our main force will still be phants since we have 9exp point on them in 2 cities, which means 3 promo, also they are cheaper than maces.
We are pretty unlucky, a GSpy spotted instead of a Scientist, we ll keep it for our second GA. And also Mig had the AP, wtf, he is killing everything and still with hability to take wonders? omg. Well it also means he is up teo :/
As you can see we are almost 100 gpt at 0% which is a lot more than when we ended the war. Now we are in a good position but still behind of mig. He will have a bit more production on their cities which is not nice. We are making some settlers too so we fill so many spaces we have on the continent. Also Tan Solo has no production so using his food on that sounds nice.
Finally some demos and graphs, mig still on good shape of food and hammers and he might even beated us this turn on gnp.

I cant understand the cairo's mind. I am really tring but i am unable. He is going to take the land of Nau (already 1 city) and try to fight us over sea instead of hold mig that is taking his mainland atleast 3 cities already. I mean, he wants everyone to concede? or what?
Nau has just one phant on his south city so with 3-4 keshiks well promoted should be enough. His capitol has much more stack. I dont know what cairo is binging, but if we land in the capitol at same time it will be like mjmd and jowy vs the capitol of Charriu, we will be facin without doing anything so the other dont get advantage, and hey lets leave free mig.... this cairo mind i cant understand. I hope he wrote some thoughts in his thread so i can understand after this game.
Finally demos and graphs, it seems in a good position, we are first on GNP when running at 100%.

sorry for not posting this turns.
I am totally surprised of the Cairo's decision of conquering Nau when he is losing all his core.
I ve been talking lately with GKC and i wanted you to see our thoughts until i joined in today.
Quote:Vanrober: the thing is what to do with cairo?
General: i dont see cairos stack
Vanrober: but u see that he took the city right?
i guess he is going for capitol, i dont see more options, why would he come otherwise?
General: To snipe a city
Vanrober: when he is losing all his core?
it seems weird to me

Vanrober: a bit big to be just for snipe a city?
couldnt he kill some of the mig stack with that and stay with his core?
should we try to get nau capitol or would he come after to take it?
General: oh wtf
that's a huge fucking amount of units
let's just take that little city
and gtfo

got a pm of ruff, he declared war. Im not sure if we have enough to defend, next turn we will see with what he atacked. and will whip in consequence. If we were kind of the second civ right after mig, it seems we are going to fall. Maybe people start conceding soon. And we migth be one of those xD

Turn 151
Maybe i should make a big overview and try to make a big post but im not in the mood. i ve been slowly seeing myself with less motivation since mig is won. Hopefully lurkers talked about that on the lurkers thread that has been a bit more active than usual.
Im really proud of this game and i had a lot of fun playing it until mig swiped his continent in 20 turns then i started to be worried of our position and being afraid of losing this game that has been the best ive played so far (Not that hard looking to my previous games hehehe)
In anycase, general and I missed that ruff had this stack on range last turn, we probably forgot to check what units were there, we dont really know how it happened, we even thought he double moved but PBSPY doesnt lie. He didnt. So it was just our blunder. If we saw it we would have started the movement of troops and would gain a turn. We are still in a good position i believe, and we shouldnt lose that city.
General decided to atack with the little stack of catapults we have and to atack with keshiks, and it worked really well. His stack is wounded and with less units, we have more defenders than he atackers (not counting cats since those cant get the city) The bad news are he has samurai and 2 are coming on next turn, so our macemen plan is just not going to happen. We will make 1 or 2 that already have started producing but we will mainly start with xbows and barely just xbows. If we had the stack of Naus land he would have lost almost all his stack if not all.
On 2 turns we will have a lot of reinforcements and on 3 turns we will have the healer and 8 more keshiks. We will get the second city of Nau next turn and we will ask for peace probably, not sure yet. Its crazy how it seems to be just impossible to kill him every single time we try xD
Started whiping some units out but we are on first part of the turn so not really usefull, at least we can promo before him.... Also we got a GG but im not sure what to do with him.
Demos and graph. We are rising the power grapha dn ruff is doing but slower, we have mor production and more population/food, so in the long term he has nothing to do, sadly mig wont give us that time though, he already won.

Specifically, I'm referring to cairo literally feeding mig cities by trying to invade nauf.

Turn 152
I coudnt log in yesterday when i was able in the morning since Nau didnt play, and after he played i was totally busy (if you can check on PB56 you will se some of the reasons, basically cooking).
Thanks to GKC the turn was played, since i didnt log i cant make a full report but i will resume what he told me.
Ruff didnt atack since his troops are really damaged, our stack is not enough to hold him on next turn so General atacked to kill some more units. Then he can take the city, we will see today if he did, if he does then we should be able to recapture without much trouble. Also General told me that Index Case is lightly defended and we could counter atack there, but he also thinks that it would be better first to whip out his stack first. It seems thats all he have so we might be able to kill him after all.
Would that mean that we have any chance of fight mig? not at all. He is far ahead on tech, also on prod and food. He has a navy we have not. He has cataphracts we cant counter. I even think once he finish with elkad and cairo, im amazed he didnt yet, i guess he is not on hurry since elkad cannot do anything and same on Cairo that has absurdly his stack on our continent instead of in migs.
So i think he is trying to recover his economy, he is ahead of us on gnp too when we were crushed after conquering Scooter. So really there is no way. He can even bring some cataphracts to our continent while we are facing Ruff and kill us from behind, he has better units and more.
The question is, does the cataphract need a nerf? It might, im not sure if the downside of the starting tech of Bizancium are bad enough. It obiously depends on your neightbours, if he were in our continent instead of Ruff we maybe might be able to stop him from teching that hard and then we would be more tech leveled, but his neighbours seem to be trying to tech peacefully but much worse than him or if they fought they didnt fight to the one that becomes crazy with guilds. If we make a simil with LoL its like you have in front a kogmaw and you leave him free farm with a full peeler team. Either you win that on early or game is lost. And i think that happened here. Obviusly you have to play it well, and Mig/Rusten seems to did perfecty. Its not the same if you ther a challenger Kog than if you play it on silver, thats clear. If i had picked Byzantium i dont think i would have managed to be in his spot. But on LoL the nerfs are done for the challengers not for the silvers. So i think it should be nerfed for that, if you can make a "free win" with it being Mackoti or TBS, so maybe making that unit like 10strength +50% vs melee so pikes doesnt counter that much or maybe vs Longbows so you can only counter with pikes, or something like that, but i think you cant leave a free unit that counters everything until you get cuirasiers. I dont know if this makes sense, i dont really have too much knowledge of this game to be sure if what i am saying is the truth or not.
