Oof. I did not notice that Harry could grab sheep, corn and pig with the plains hill. Definitely a case of creator myopia there with the intended city placement. Ah well, can't do anything about it now.

Harry/Hitru think the map is smaller than average, and TBS thinks the map is bigger than average.

It's funny that Cornflakes seems to be the only one to go for an island city and immediate ICTRs.
The Harry hivemind mentions the island as a possibility, but then never comes back to it.

TBS discards an island start after being open to it.

Gavagai doesn't discuss where or what he intends to build, and pindicator had more opinions on PoE builds.

I gotta say this going to be an interesting game. A bunch of top tier players.

Yeah whoops. That is a horse tile, so I probably edited it at some point and messed up.

So I decided to move the gold closer to Cornflakes's start because I was concerned that it could be contested by his southeast neighbor too easily in the previous spot. I did not realize that the current scenario could happen. I have to say that all these problems would not be an issue if the map could simply be bigger. I really don't think there should be any more advanced start games with this small a map.

Between the difficulties in making a map for advanced start and the intense thought and time being taken. It is easy to understand why not a lot of these get played (as interesting and fascinating as I find it to lurk). If you mess up the original setup you are significantly behind.

I don't know if it helped this game, but in PB53 I asked this question to smarter people than me:
Who won advanced start set up? What do people think is good / what mistakes were made?
