What promotion did the keshiks have? If they have Combat 1 and Cover, then it's only 6 strength archer against 6.6 strength keshik + the 1 first strike and 20% withdrawl
EDIT Forget it. I'm stupid and can't do basic math. Your acher should be at 9.75 strength and vs a cover unit at 9.

There was also 1 withdrawal I didn't mention. Anyway I think it's a good reminder that numbers (as in unit count, not unit strength) are very important. Was there an opening to attack my border city? From my point of view it looked like there was for 2-3 turns and was quite relieved that you chose not to attack.
