So Donovan is the other to settle on T0. Looks like just 2 then total. Thoth guessed 1-3 peeps, so that's a hit. I might have to count the PH to Sugar settler ratios later once more people post.
I think later today I'll have time to give you guys the list of neighbors, I just need to format it.

Given a fairly new mapmaker, I expect these will be 5 5-person continents (maybe mirrored), in the standard blob-and-spoke ring form. This jungle to the east looks like a borderland. I'm either on the NNW of a ring facing outward, or SSE facing into an inland sea. My bet is outer-facing.
That's pretty much the most accurate he could possibly be. Of course it's based on the fact I'm a new mapmaker, but damn.

Anyway it's Saturday and I finally have some time, I've been so busy this week. It's a good thing the map was scheduled for March 1st, classes started this week and I've been buried. I did promise to give you guys the player distribution though:
Ordered the table by Island number so you can see who is next to each other based on the start number. 1 borders 2 and 5, 2 borders 1 and 3, etc.
Some of the more interesting developments maybe:
1) TBS borders Commodore and JoshyBravo. This could be the game?
2) Mack has nauf and Cairo, but Pin is also on that continent.
3) Two of the offsite teams are on the 3rd continent next to each other, I know Frozen is pretty good for one so that'll be interesting
4) Mig+Rusten border Elkad and Donovan, which might lead to a favorable game for them and they've been very focused
5) Continent 5 is going to be a toss up! I think we might see good things from Mjmd and I'm curious how he and Charriu interact.

Those are interesting observations indeed. Pod 5 looks the most up for grabs, but I’m predicting Ramk to throw an early wrench in things and then pull ahead as the clear leader there. The prolific civforum.de players all seem implacable and strong, and I think Ramk was given a laughably bad start in PB51 so his results there were hardly representative.

Hi there, new here because I like this gif :D
But seriously... thought its time to create an account since I secretly lurk some civ for a short while.
Got a question (or problem?) to begin with.
Are there different ways to include pictures? And why can I see some but not all of them?
All browser-scripts allowed for this site but, for example, the spoiler of rustens last post seems empty while miguelitos picts above show up nicely. DOnt remember which threads but 1-2 other posts had a small blank space instead of a pic.
(maybe just because I didn't have an account?)
Edit: hmm, interesting... everything seems allright now. Looks like becoming a proper member resolved the issue
Regarding the map: I like the shape and positioning, hard work making it as "even" as possible. Those plentyful resources make me nervous though *lol*

That would be the logic that says it's often a good idea to scout the area around your capital.

yeah, was thinking about how to reply in a funny way but didn't want to give too much of a hint. He'll get it some day

I'm excited to see Commodore's reaction when he scouts south and realizes who his southern neighbor is.
