I think the issue (at least from Alarr) is you saying this - as it is a bit harsh and personal as well! It may not have been your intention but it sounded like you were criticising plako and broker for playing the game they want to play. It can seem like you are seriously trying to sway their play choice which is not what a lurker can do.

Nah, he had to be referring to my reply to Kristian after he attacked me (due to the "irrational" part). Anyways, I was just discussing the two philosophies in general like the dozen posts before mine, with no intention to critizise plako/broker and doesn't look like they took any offense by it.

I do think that Kristian went slightly overboard with his personal statement about you, but I think it would be better to swallow it than keep it alive, especially in plako's thread.

Maybe. But I'd rather put an end to it right now so I can hang out @RB in peace like any other member. Remember that this is a recurring theme in Kristian's posts, the Jowy bashing has been going on for quite a while.. I doubt it'd end if I stayed quiet and honestly I just want to have fun discussing civilization when I come on RB, not get mad from personal attacks made against me.

Having said that I'll gladly offer my hand in peace and put this silly (from both sides ) fight behind us and get on with discussing what is a great game: Civ4.

If I were plako I would be saving Gp's to go corporation crazy - Mining Inc and Sushi especially will give his cities a big boost - large and production - more so than spulla's, although granted - he has more and will be running SP for 10% hammers more food and lower maintenance.

I would not consider attacking India. I would consider attacking HRE - once I had Rifles ready.

I would possibly consider running through Slaze - but only with 2 movers and very very quickly - we have seen what slaze can do with a lot of pop but Longbows aren't going to stop Cav's...

Well, if ploker could overrun slaze relatively quickly while Spullla are busy with NaMOC, they might have a chance to win a space race or something. Particularly if they also secure some corporations. I'd still say it would require excellent play from Korea while India fumbles and drops the ball.

Catching up on this PB game has been very interesting. I wonder if Sullla will do for his write up - whether he will be able to see this objectively or not in the end.

I dunno if Plako would be better off running through Nakor or a Slaze that has fought 3 major wars. I think the best Diplomacy style decision would be to cut through slaze and deny Sullla his easy domination land and let Nakor and Sullla grind each other down to buy time.

Of course Sullla will just make peace unless Nakor is in a Black Knight sort of mood. That is assuming that Nakor + Ploker are in a 'Anything but a Spullla win is a win for everyone else' sort of mindset.
