Sure, you just want to know why we aren't building units, don't you?
Here's the glorious Lego empire. The cottages around A and B are doing pretty well, but we are a little cramped.
Unfortunately we don't know much of the world beyond our borders, so any future wars are likely to be blundered into blindly. TBS' greedy city (IT Crowd) is unfortunately now full of spears, so we're not going to take it. Perhaps the galley full of chariots on the other side of the world will have more luck.
This is why our power looks so bad, but I find it hard to motivate myself to build spears and axes...
As a bonus here's the tech situation. Pindi and TBS know Maths, TBS has Calendar, CF and TBS have Machinery and Pindi and ? have HBR. We either need to get Construction or HBR to secure our borders when the 10 turns of peace with Pindi is up, but in the mean time we're going to push our luck a little further with Literature and the great library (rushed with the engineer who will pop this turn).

What about misspelled because of ignorance?
Demos and power. Even with the neighbours taking 60 000 soldier points off each other we still need to do something about that power chart. Our biggest worry right now is that Cornflakes does some coastal raiding with his 5-move galley, but I offered him peace, so hopefully he just wants to pester TBS?

Well I assumed it wasn't ignorance because you spelled it correctly in your post.

So you need motivation?
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Spelling isn't one of my strengths but even a stopped clock is right occasionally.

It looks like not having the power/motivation wasn't a problem after all.

Pindi took a second city from Babylon and offered peace, which TBS accepted. So we took peace with TBS as well. And on the way home our boats spotted four Persian galleys... Looks like Gav was gearing up to join the dogpile. Which is a little concerning - will he turn his attention our way? Perhaps another trireme or two would be useful.
Demos and power. We have a few turns of peace with everyone but Gav to concentrate on the economy, but it'd be sensible to be ready for a stack of 15 horse archers on the northern border at short notice...

We got this nice library thingy last turn. As we're PHI we thought it was worth spending a great engineer on. There are a lot of lightbulbs that a few scientists could use to speed us through the renaissance (Education, Philosophy, Chemistry and Paper being the most likely - a situation where we bulb Philosophy then Paper and Education and research Nationalism allowing us to take Mil Trad with Liberalism would be nice, right?) Someone should write a plan I think.
We're due another great person in two turns. If it's a third engineer we might head straight for Calendar after Maths to see if we can snipe/force TBS to whip the MoM.
Good old Gavagai only blocked his silver city with one galley. We decided that killing it and capturing the city would be counter-productive, so hopefully we're best friends now. Probably worth keeping some units in range though for when Pindi rolls over him.
Demos and power. I think Pindi might be down to 10-15 horse archers (he's still top power mind you), so unless he starts whipping hard again (always possible with Sacrificial Altars) our borders are fairly secure. As ever, more spears...

Pindi finished the apostolic palace and is whipping religious infrastructure so we think he's happy with where he is now and won't attack us. His stack is healing up in Flex Falcon and our peace runs out in four turns. I think we need four spears in KC to be sure we deter him from making an easy gain, perhaps five?
Anyway, in the mean time there's someone we haven't been at war with yet. This galley is probably empty, but it's forking two of our cities which only have warriors in defence, so we need to kill it.
Just. I offered peace and landed a couple of chariots next to an empty city to back up that offer.
At the end of turn our great person was...
Demos and power. Even with research at 0% we're #1 GNP! Just need to sort out all the other indicators now.

I've been thinking about bulb strategies.
Right now we'll get somewhere around 1250 beakers from most great people and 1750 from a great scientist lightbulb.
---
If we get the great artist from Music (963b) we need to research Drama (446b), Poly (130b), Mono (160b), Priesthood (73b), Monarchy (446b) and Theology (787b) before Nationalism (3 223b) and Philosophy (1 323b) become bulbable.
I like getting a free GP from Music, but I don't see us going for Monarchy and Theology any time soon, so perhaps we use that guy to launch our first golden age?
---
With a great scientist (most of our cities are likely to pop GS from this point) Education (3223b) is top of the list. If we tech Alphabet (363b) then Philosophy (1323b), Optics (963b) and Paper (963b) are available.
Bulbing Philosophy then Education is a good route to taking Nationalism (3223b) with Liberalism (2447b), but it'd be even better to get Military Tradition (3617b)
---
With a great merchant (which may be possible with markets once we get Currency) the top bulb is Currency (615b), followed by Code of Laws (529b) and Alphabet (363b), then Paper (963b), Monarchy (446b) and Civil Service (1323b) are all available.
Bulbing CS seems a good use here.
---
A rough strategy could be:
Research Alphabet-Currency-CoL-Music in some order
Bulb Philosophy with GS then Civil Service with GM
Research Nationalism and rush Taj
Research Paper
Bulb Education with 2 GS
Liberalise Mil Trad
Research Gunpowder
This gives us Cuirassiers at a cost of around 11 000 beakers, 3 great scientists and a great merchant. Given that we (and the neighbours) can get knights for half of those beakers this doesn't seem like a very safe strategy. Getting Taj would be great though.
If however we somehow manage to snipe the MoM from TBS then Nationalism (obsoleting the wonder) would be a bad tech for us to rush to. So perhaps in that case we just head for knights ASAP?

Don't forget that for partial bulbs like with education, you want to do them before you whip/draft in the same round. That's because the beaker value of the bulb depends on your total population

Turn 85
Our sniping-the-MoM plan is coming to fruition - TBS still hasn't built it in spite of getting Calendar more than 10 turns ago and just launched a golden age (meaning surely that he doesn't plan to get it in the next couple of turns?) So we're ready to use our Great Engineer to build the wonder next turn.
The world is at peace temporarily, but there are a few too many military techs out there for my liking. We know Pindi and Gav have Horseback Riding, TBS and Cornflakes have Machinery, either TBS or Pindi have Iron Working and Pindi has Currency. Sitting here with axes, (lots of) spears and chariots is making us a little nervous.
Looking at the MFG graph TBS is producing a whole lot of hammers in his golden age. What is he spending them on? I suppose it could be wonders, but this power graph says something different.
We know TBS bulbed Machinery with an engineer who could have built the MoM for him. Machinery lets him build trebuchets, Iron Working lets him build swords and crossbows. Oh shit.
This message might give us info about if he's avenging himself on Pindi or going after us... (We don't think he's the avenging type.)
So next turn we either build MoM for one of our neighbours or bulb Machinery and get Iron Working-Archery to build some crossbows.
Demos.
