Moved my 2 galleys and then took these 2 screenshots.
He either deleted his axe, or put it on a galley up north. Fair enough. The war went as follows. HA moves, captures ricecity. HA moves, captures and razes horsecity.
HA moves, wins a nice 30% fight vs a c1 wounded spear in his capital, and a chariot cleans up the warrior. I unload axe next to WheatCity after i move a HA to capture a worker + kill an archer. Chariot cleans up the axe and 2 workers next to the capital. Chariot kills solo axe revealing archer behind Wheatcity. I left a HA open to spear attack to try and draw it away from the Goldcity. He could use his 2 workers on that stack of his (by the goldcity/horsecity location) to kill the HA that razed horsecity, which would be weird, but fine. I fully expect to clean up both of these visible cities next turn. He has 3 more cities to the west, possible another Island city? He has 1 island city im ignoring till the end because its worthless, 1 city i dont care to capture till the last minute.. and another that probably isnt bad. The rest of his cities further west will probably need to be alot more cautious as i dont know where all that extra TBS power is coming from, and i dont know if TBS can fight a 2 front war right now.... but it IS TBS, so if someone can... its probably him. Plus it could just be a harassment force which id have to kinda just put up with. Tarkeel could be annoying and start pillaging, but i would kill his warrior and try for a 10t peace. I want to consolidate this stuff. LET ME DO ITTT

Remember that size 6 Wheatcity? Joshy managed to burn 5 pop outta that city before i could even capture it this turn. He also ran everything away to huddle up in a last ditch city or two.
GNP not great, MFG isnt amazing because im still growing back from all that whipped HA fun, and i think alot of people are entering GA's. Food will start to improve as all these cities come out of revolt. 2t till i get my shrine and hopefully once the war is over ill have currency which if my math is correct, will guarantee that i cannot go bankrupt.
Im noticing the rise in power that Tarkeel's graph has been showing so ive made sure that he will take losses if he tries to run a bunch of WC's past my main garrison. I still have research visibility on him so if he goes for construction i basically have to follow him there.
As you can see here, my #1 or top 3 production in the game has tanked a bit because of the whipping spree.
Keeping pace with Tarkeel at least in food.. Commodore continues to look like he wont make it another 30-40t.
Ive taken gradual losses, because im thinking i wont need to continue making more HA's. 6 or 7 units lost, 2 chariots/4HA's... not bad for 6 cities captured and 3 razed.
Current battlefield. Next turn ill check the city that spear is running off to to see if its guarded heavily. IF it isnt, ill likely throw units at it to capture and consolidate my forces for a push NW. I have 8-9 fresh HA's in theater along with wounded ones healing. 3-4 axes will be able to punch a hole in a city if need be. Galley is loaded with a surprise.

Lost 1 HA and killed a spear and archer to capture a pretty nice little city. I also found Joshy's missing city...
So thats 4 island cities, and 1 mainland city left for him. 2 of those island cities (wineisland and horseisland) are going to be saved for last because man they are shit right now. Washington ill be keeping, and i have NO clue about the city to the south. Im assuming its like the copper/corn jungle heaven that Amicalola stole from me on the east coast, in which case i kinda have to keep it and just go for IW in the meantime.
SPEAKING OF THOSE GOLD for GOLD offer's... I got a trade offer from Commodore asking for copper/copper for war with TBS. I sent back this ^... The meaning is clear, i could possible help 20-25t from now. I was under the impression this wasnt against the rules as its been done several times that i can remember (and dont have screenshots for, cuz i normally dont screenshot all the trade offers i get) in previous pb's..
I have roughly a 2to1 ratio of units that will be able to attack his last mainland city next turn. I expect horrible losses on my end. I also have a weird feeling that those galleys might be loaded... so that could be fun. I have a couple places i can put my galleys to stop him from going up my coast right now, but im slightly hopeful that he runs the one into my galleys and loses, or into the city and i capture it. Of course, knowing my luck they probably are loaded and will kill a nicely promoted HA in CrabCity, before i retake it. OR he could drop off units to make Washington a harder city to capture. Its up in the air.
Oh, and the best news of the turn... I spied this sneaky galley, a worker roading... AND Tarkeel going for construction tech. So, i killed his wandering warrior that could pillage shit in Joshy's lands, offered him 15 gold for the kill due to warrior hammers, and i also sent him another peace deal that shows that i wont interfere if he attacks Commodore.
Im going to make it to Currency, i have my shrine next turn... i have a TON of cities coming out of resistance.. I have quite a bit of pop that i can whip again in emergency should Tarkeel not take peace. I dont believe that he has HA tech, so at worst he could bring WC's + other assorted ancient era trash against PRO archers/spears in a hill city.. Or try and bypass with WC's and get wrecked by HA's and spears. I dont think he can tech Construction TOO fast, so im not worried about a boatload of catapults coming to siege my city. I think if he wanted to interfere he should have done so when i was knee deep in Joshy and would take several turns to return... with Joshy still having plenty of production centers to keep producing all sorts of fun stuff.
Im also going to be sending a workboat to go and try and get circumnavigation which i know is REALLY late... but i had other priorities. I think i have a solid chance of winning this game, provided i dont get immediately dogpiled by TBS/Tarkeel while Commodore does nothing. Shrine income + all this land? I should be a contender now right? No one has been eliminated yet, so no one should have a bunch more cities than me...

You are in really good position, eating neighbour early without committing too much is great. Also shrine will help a lot in game this big, you should keep spreading your religion fast.
I'm spoiled (although don't follow game that closely) so I can't offer any direct advice but to stay safe cats+HA will work nicely until knights.
What's the plan next, consolidate and go to knights, keep fighting or something else? In any case you should form a clear long term plan now, what's your best path to victory?

I would also recommend a bit of archer spam to protect new holdings.

Consolidate and get to knights, finish off my island, hit Astro and go plunder. It honestly depends on what if anything Tarkeel does. TBS and Commodore should probably remain locked into forever war till TBS eventually eliminates Commodore, so.. Probably hit Tarkeel with galley invasion and then swooop in with knights? Unless TBS starts eating Commodore quickly or signs peace..
Not CHA nor do i have totem poles sadly or it would be a real reunion.

So if you want to finish of your island who is the next victim? And will that war be fought by knights already ( and if yes, then when is that)?

The next victim depends solely on how the TBS vs Commodore war shapes up, if Tarkeel takes peace/what he does, and what my tech speed looks like once ive consolidated.

A pictures says 1000 words. If tarkeel moves those WC's forward without spear or axe cover, they die. I expect he will move a bunch onto one of those jungle hills, and THEN run his WC's somewhere. I have quite a few HA's that i can whip if he does something stupid/smart. Im always hopeful that he is just trying to tie up units so that TBS can do whatever he plans on doing..
a tbs galley that could have units on it, or could have picked up the chariots from Yangzhou. Ricecity has a c1shock HA in it, so im fairly sure it doesnt die to a spear amphibiously.. But, im being cautious and have an extra (injured) HA that can take the city back.. or should be able to.
one of Joshys galleys dropped off an axe/worker, and he has another galley that can drop off whatever it is next turn. I have a couple options providing he doesnt take a 30% shot on my loaded galley with his, and wins. I can land my 3 units on a jungle tile next turn or amphibiously attack the 1 axe. (also just realized that he COULD galley chain... i think, to bring whatever in that 2nd galley into the city) After this city gets captured, i will capture or raze the Horseisland city and send 1 galley to go explore.
Unless he deleted the units, he has a fair amount of shit that he can bring to siege Marblecity whenever TBS brings what he is bringing. I fear he has catapults/elephants/his UU already.. if he doesnt, i should be able to hold my territory without too many losses. Unless he and Commodore are being "peaceful" but still at war for whatever reasons.
I will say overall, Joshy did a great job making the cities i was taking... not as great as they could have been. Whipped those SoB's down real good. Otherwise, his defense was a bit lacking but not uncommon among newer players. His biggest mistake was probably trusting my fish/fish while going to war with TBS, and then not increasing his defenses on my side of his empire. If he had shown archers/spears in all the border cities with the main one having a couple more... i might have been persuaded to attack Tarkeel. But seeing sooooooo many cities guarded by axes, or not having any garrison at all, made the decision too easy.
Demos will improve... Demos will improve...... Demos WILL improve....
Hope im keeping you bloodthirsty lurkers entertained!
