If they settle on the hill, it could maybe work out. Although I have to imagine that tarkeel and civac settle copper in that scenario, and their capital is a dream to whip axes from...

...Why would you settle 1N of the copper and not 1E? The pig city has so few tiles it would be absolutely crippled mid game, and 1W has a wet corn and the horse!
I had also assumed 1E. It's possible that JR4 missed the corn, since there's no bubble.
Although, it looks like Tarkeel/Civac are going to pull off their attack so far. Fabled/JR4 don't seem to realise how aggressive their plant is, they talk more about vanrober than Tarkeel.
Yeah, they were so greedy, they had to go straight archery and plan to whip an Archer if they had not lucked into capital copper, but they have missed that play.
Personally I can't see past 1E of the copper as second city. Shared food, 6F corn, 6H copper, and then horse, protected from chokes...Ah well, it will open up space.
It looks like Bing is also considering settling on riverside copper and vulture rushing, though he hasn’t planned for it so no immediate 2-pop whip. I think he could’ve narrowly hit superdeath’s city before it had an axe in it, perhaps?
So the Mongolian capital has to win a warrior v axe battle to survive past t41? And even if it does, there will be 2 axes to kill the warrior on t42, and because of the quicker copper hookup he can't build more warriors and a warrior will que upgrade to a speae. Ouch.
Yeah, it looks pretty damn rough. I suppose in theory they'll have that copper city, but that won't do very much. Poor Fabled, tough first game. Poor Bing too, while we're at it.
By the way, ever figure out if you actually recognised Bing's voice? Krill Wrote:So the Mongolian capital has to win a warrior v axe battle to survive past t41? Ouch. 2 warriors vs 2 axe on t41. I don't think the road link connects until t43 so no queue upgrade until eot 43. Best they can hope for is to chop out an axe or two from their copper city to make life difficult for civac. Definitely fun to lurk this one.

I wonder if this PB will go over the T100 mark.
