[PB63 Spoilers] - Pindicator Unlocks 10 Year Achievement

017

I thought about it and decided that I still want to bring the current scout south this turn. Because even if we do move the 2nd scout as you described then there is going to be a narrow band of fogged territory that the current scout can unfog by going S-SE - a band that if we left for the other scout would mean that it may not be able to scout out the southern 5th/6th ring of tiles by the time our settler is done.

When I found the turn we had met Mr. Cairo, his scout to the northwest of ours. He has also put 4 EP into us, which could mean we're his first - but this late he could also be switching EP over to us after having gotten graphs on his first neighbor (much like how we have graphs on Cornflakes and now are putting our EP into superdeath).

I still decided to move S-SE and was glad I did.

It appears that there is another inlet that cuts us off from the north, putting our capital very close to a junction in a number of directions. Suddenly the corn to our northwest becomes a lot more important to claim, as Superdeath may be able to cut us off from the northwest if we do not get a foothold in that direction.

With this new information I believe we will have to use the 2nd scout to explore like you described now and this first scout is going to explore more along the north coast of this new body of saltwater. I'm guessing we will run into Mr. Cairo if we continue this way.

2 scouts is starting to look like a very fine idea. With 1 scout I would almost certainly have pulled this guy back further to explore the southwest more.

The capital has grown to size 2 and our worker moved onto the pigs in anticipation of AH finishing end of this turn. Looking forward to favorable horse placement...

I could include graphs here again, but they show that Cornflakes moved off of the oasis tile and onto his farmed Wheat equivalent (5f1h) the same turn we did, which was to be expected. I would if he's doing a similar plan to what I originally was looking at, before you made me realize I didn't have to push AH to finish sooner. However, I would expect him to want to have AH finished this turn, as he would have been able to start improving his pig this turn - if he had one. Yet there has been no power increase showing in the ratio by the score.

Charriu - is that ratio delayed now a turn like graphs?

Ratio works just like graphs. So one turn delayed.

Seems like I should expect he finished AH this turn then

Am I correct in summarising the situation thusly:

We are going scout third and then a warrior finishing eot25.
Superdeath went Fishing and work boat first before growing to size three, so he may have a warrior rush opportunity and if we die to that, fine. But he doesn't know where we are unless he kept his scout out of our vision which we can't know about.
Cornflakes did not go AH first so if we die to a single WC it is unlikely to be before T40. We don't know where he is.
Cairo is not our problem right now.
Horse next turn and have to decide between rushing to BW or going Wheel first?

I agree with your scouting plan btw.

Yeah, that's all correct.

We can go warrior after the wb, but then we will have hammer decay on the scout and it won't be able to finish along with growth to size 5

"Owe rhe bank $1,000 dollars and that is your problem. Owe them a $1,000,000 and that is the banks' problem."

Farmers gambit to the settler, a warrior rush would make it almost impossible to hold the pig and wheat and that is essentially game. Getting Mortius'ed is relatively painless. The extra 3 turns scouting matters.

So Cornflakes scout appeared from the SW and then disappeared without a trace after, likely going NW-NW after since he played after us on both t6 and t7.

I'm trying to decide if it's more likely he snuck between the saltwater inlet and our capital going northwest, or if he just turned back west, and honestly.... I don't know. They both look possible.

The tile 2W of his scout is a hill, so he could have moved onto that on T5, and then moved into that hill on T6 but if he had come from the west and had no intention to wander through our land, where would he then explore? He could Kot be W or NW and circling clockwise or the scout would be facing the other way. It would be weird to return to the hill, and we would have seen him move straight north. He could either have gone SW or NW, but NW would still be known...But he could want to circle anticlockwise so he accepts the lossed turn.

Yeah, he could be either W or SW, but I would guess SW and he then headed NW. No evidence either way.

Could you put a turn into the scout to stop decay and then swap to warrior if necessary? Could you put a turn into the warrior then swap to scout so that your vision gives you enough advance notice to get the warrior out? Just curious; I am unspoiled (dedlurking here thus far) & know nothing about SD’s plans, but am not that familiar with the decay mechanics.

Decay doesn't work that way, every turn after 10 turns not building a unit you lose hammers. There is no reset until you finish the decaying unit.
