As far as the scout, he never had vision on our settler. SD's scout moved away from sight after our T36

If he comes with an axe I think we're just screwed even with the warrior. We can't whip until T43 and he would be able to attack on turns 42 & 43

Also, if we move the warrior out we're getting 2 unhappy faces and so not going to be able to 2pop whip the settler on T41. We'll probably want to triple whip on T40 to avoid all those unhappy people, so I guess the worker 3 will come out T43.

Screw it, I'm not moving the warrior. If he comes and kills us early because the map was tailor made for him to do that then I want it done quick and not this barely-stop-the-bleeding-on-life-support bullshit that will just drag the inevitable out for a month.

Nah, fair enough. A quick death or success was the original plan and we should stick with it. I don't think he has copper hooked though, given what Charriu stated, so I was working off the proviso he had holkan arriving desynchronized. Maybe we are just being paranoid when we are almost clear.

What gets me with this map is that there is a single camp food, and a single grain in the first ring area. So the majority of time if a player rushed a settled at size 2 here, finishing around t25, a worker would have nothing to do except mine a hill for the second improvement, and have a choice between a bad city location which eventually lucks into horses, or a half decent city location which lucks into copper. But the majority of locations resources could be revealed needed work boats or AH.

It makes me wonder how much the start was essentially scripted.

Nothing played yet but it was pretty obvious when superdeath played last to roll the turn 39 and then didn't play turn 40.

I just expected to see a metal unit, but I'm sure that's right behind.




I don't know, I'll think of something later. Not that there are any good days for dealing with a map like this, but I had a 6am meeting today because for some reason we have to cater my schedule to someone halfway around the globe instead of the other way around. Anyway I'm tired and grumpy without this crappy map.

I would guess the warrior is heading for my copper, so I have to move my warrior out of the capital to cover this turn otherwise my coppergets pillaged 2 turns after I mine it. Which means I probably triple whip the settler this turn rather than have 2 angry faces but then why triple whip a settler? Do I dry whip a worker?

A warrior? lol

I'd like to add that we fucking saw this train wreck coming back on TURN SEVEN for all the help it did for us.

Oh and that's the other reason why I'd rather have Cornflakes ' copper: nobody is going to pillage his with warriors
