Question for the players still here: other than ancient era FFAs, are there any other game types that people want to play? Like ancient era teamers, 5v5 style, or time limited games?
I've been wondering about something like a 10v10 classical era game with no communication within teams on PB15 style map. Tight, brutal and made for brawling.
Does anyone else have anything they wanted to play that is unusual?

I'm always up for trying something new. What do you mean by time limited games?

Ancient era teamers id be down for. Im not a huge fan of the idea of large-scale teamers. AKA: 5v5/ect. Like, 2 or 3 per team max with multiple teams.
Wouldnt mind my/another diplomacy game starting up..
"Superdeath seems to have acquired a rep for aggression somehow. In this game that's going to help us because he's going to go to the negotiating table with twitchy eyes and slightly too wide a grin and terrify the neighbors into favorable border agreements, one-sided tech deals and staggered NAPs."

Turn limits.
For example ladder games are played with a turn limit between 100 to 120 turns. If no victory condition I searched by the end, highest score wins. Just think of ordinary games having 500 turn turn limit.
They don't really make sense in a true ancient era FFA aka an iron-man game, but in a XvX teamer it helps stop the issues with concessions unless the game is really one sided.

I'd be up for trying that. Either a teamer or a FFA (unless there's a big issue with the latter that I'm missing).

I've been bouncing around the idea for a gonzo map in my head for a while now, but haven't started making the actual map before I know the number of players.

Classical era advanced start with raging barbarians.
2 person teams as well perhaps.

I'd be up for that provided there was a 15 turn enforced peace/ban on buying anything stronger than an archer.
