So right now what are our needs? How do we intend to deal with the window of Jongs?

I keep on looking at the civ list and coming to the conclusion that you don't care what civ I play so long as I can build boats and don't drag the tech rate, because you will do all the heavy lifting.

I thought superior was banned?
Just checking but what tests have been done to ensure all those mechanics work as expected?

I just started a new game as Spain. Thought it would be fun to play a few or forty turns and just look at it.
A barb encampment spawned four tiles from my capital and vomited horsemen at me on T20.
Gimme Gilgamesh and his war carts and let me build in peace, I have no issues with picking or playing him so long as everything is above board with the pick, and it is. As much fun as Spain could be to build with, I can't be trusted with that.

Less testing, more randomly pressing buttons. I wanted to have a quick look at the early trader best case scenario, which felt poor compared to war carts murdering barbs for tribal village rewards and running over a CS or two if there were poor CS as neighbours.
Let's do this properly, I will run the test tomorrow afternoon - I'm finishing early so I can run the tests from around 1300. What is the best way to do it? When I set up a game with AI it didn't quite work out, I take it the best way would be to play a hot seat game, team up Norway and Sumeria against an unfortunate third part and set up the battle that way? That has to be the closest mechanically to a real PBEM, right?

Essential, my hope is this: You tell me what to do for each turn. You give me orders in whatever is the most efficient manner (and doesn't lead to me making stupid mistakes due to interpretation). You do this after we have discussion, essentially a socratic opportunity to learn, regarding the strategy moving forward (which you just did) and the short term goals. Any complicated tactics whilst at war we are going to have to sit down and chat (on that note I have meant to ask the best way to do this, voice or written chat, I can stream during turns or just running everything through the forum and we ruin the Imgur server).
I will be documenting every turn and should have no trouble working up a format for the exact information I need to record.
Some turns I probably will need you to play for me but these can be worked out in advance.
Any questions?

I have no idea. I haven't played with a team mate like this before. Could use discord, or Google chat?
Any lurkers know what is normally used?
