Quote:This took me 5 times longer to write down than to come up with it... Hopefully discussing specific game situations will be faster.
All the games I have played on RB are linked in my signature, and it is fair to say that I have written millions of words regarding Civ 4 and Civ 3 (technical, not counting the random comments in player threads). Then there are the other games outside RB...
I will let you in on a secret: it never gets quicker, or easier, to communicate. I've tried video reporting (doesn't help with holding a coherant strategy together like written reports do, but the best way to generate contemporaneous notes.

That is so interesting to read about the builder.
I always thought I overbuilt builders in civ 6, what sort of rule of thumb do you use for when a builder should be built in the first 50 turns? Do you measure it from tile yields only, or use some other metric? How do amenities fit into this picture?
What do we do if Sumeria has poor or worse campus locations? Are we going to plan around 2 campuses to try and lock down the lower district costs or is it not worth it?
How does Suzerainity work, if I get it with a CS do you get the benefits as well or not? Do we both get different quests?

Thorough and somewhat terrifying, as expected.

I read this earlier and you've answered pretty much every question I have apart from: are we planning to force 2 coastal capitals?
Also my PC just broke on me. Looks like a graphics card failure but it is 9 years old so I'll have to rebuild it.

Thanks, but its just a pc, not anything important.
I need to take the graphics card out and see what I can do, but it looks like the whole thing is booked, windows, the graphics card, I just hope the three hard drives are intact...I've been waiting for Raspberry Pis to get back in stock and set up a pi hole and network storage but looks like I missed out just now.
I will get something up and running, and will have a plan by the weekend if not a new PC.
Regarding capitals, I mean, regardless where we start, are we moving both settlers to the coast before settling?

So it looks like my graphics card is knackered, an old R9 280X which produced coil whine every time I started civ 4. Thankfully everything else is still working but I'm making plans to build a new PC now because it is long in the tooth (the graphics card was the newest part, from 2014, the rest of the PC was built in 2013.
It turns out that the i5 4670 will still run Civ 6 on strategic view though, using just the integrated graphics, so I'm still good to go. The biggest downside is that I'm stuck playing at 2560*1440, and not 3440*1440, but I'm not complaining: it is somehow also running a 1920*1080 monitor at the same time.
Definitely feeling smug now about "Future proofing".

Sumeria west for the reef bonus to campus? The inner rings are identical but second rings aren't therefore fair assertion all starts are identical. Going to struggle for amenities though can't even farm a resource. War chariots out the wahoo and rush something perhaps?
